What stops the ignoring party from telling others to ignore the poster they dislike.
What stops them from doing that now?

Let’s just be clear here this thread isnt about btag. Which I still wonder w/ there are people here who still against in considering their main complaint about btag was it can lead to in-game harassment or people finding them irl. Funny enough it’s the very same people against account wide ignore as well. If you think about it there’s definitely alot more nefarious reason why they dont want people to be able to ignore them

The post above yours with a Blue link, says it’s account-wide in-game as of 9.1.5.
Nothing.
So theres a backlog of ignores that collectives are just waiting to clamp down on to create the echo chambers, creating a disfigured, disunited forums.
Freedom of speech is only a protection from the government .
Blizz nor is any body here obligated top recognize another person’s right to free speech .
However we and Blizz permit people to say what they want within reason .
As far as Blizz goes as long as it falls under their rules the person is good .
As far as other players go the only person/persons anyone is entitled to be heard by are those that choose to do so . Those that don’t are within their right to completely ignore anyone.

Yes I know. It’s incorrect as I’ve already shown. My post was made in full awareness of their 9.1.5 changes.
Or it’s not really a problem, and something that there’s not really any demand for?
I mean, fine, some discord here or there might go nuts with it, but how big of a deal would that be? Maybe a dozen or two people ignoring others, it just doesn’t seem like it’d be that big of a deal that would cause any issue.
I mean, plus there’s stuff like discord where it’s dead simple to make a server that anyone can if they just want an echo chamber to talk in, much less effort than trying to police the forum through ignores

Enough to create new problems, that being that in satisfying posters need for vengeance Blizzard just hamstringed one of their major data gathering points.

I mean we are willing to take btags off the table be cause of der privacy or people will be stalked .
Now it’s account wide ignores will cause harassment and if one person blocks (ignores) another person’s account it will prevent others from seeing or allowing them to post period.
I swear these people are so full of crap.

No I mean any forum improvements.
Plus its likely someone in a high position who wants to keep the forums as they are.
We don’t know unless someone from Blizzard who cares decides to descend from their towers to speak to us.
I think the issue is they just don’t want people to be able to ignore them, that way they can continue to just jump alt to alt harassing people that do ignore them since ignore isn’t account wide and they can sockpuppet to the maximum.

Funny enough Ard was always saying there’s another way. Now he’s arguing that it’s a waste of money. I’m vaguely remember at 1 point he’s argument w/ me was “I dont care if blizzard spend more money to make another way”

Nah, changes to ease moderation would be in a way a monetary savings, and improving customer satisfaction is generally not considered a waste. And since they are paying for this software on a monthly basis, there is the potential there for monetary savings there too.
Except they’ve already said they don’t.
