So you’re saying your strategy is just to intentionally misinterpret others and put words in their mouths?
If someone was really dedicated and had a lot of time on their hands, they could build a tower to the upper atmosphere out of jujubes and drop something off the top, which could potentially hurt a passer-by.
I don’t think it’s worth anyone’s time to stop anyone from buying jujubes, because the chances of anyone having that level of dedication to the concept are slim. Outliers can be dealt with as outliers by the game’s existing tools and policies, while improving the experience for literally everyone else.
well you said btag was public information… so i said, ok if my btag is public, please tell me what my btag is now.
if my btag truly is public information, then you would be able to find it right now and tell it to me, right???
looking at the participants of this thread, it seems as though five, maybe six, people actually care about account wide forum ignore… why put every in-game player at risk simply to appease six people?
Being public means it isn’t private.
I’m sure anybody with the necessary desire and motivation could suss it out, though.
ok if you are saying btags arent private and truly believe that it can be found without me telling it to you, then go ahead and tell me what my btag is
I’m saying the opposite, actually.
it was typo, chill out.
there is that better?
tell me what my btag is or admit you are wrong
Ya notice since they have been here the fox has been silent.
Not only that but saying what the fox would say . .
Once again they always give themselve away
I lack the desire and motivation. Which is to say… I don’t actually care what your battletag is.
It isn’t private information. Blizzard explains this to you when you create it. You’ve been shown the screen.
so you are admitting that you are wrong, then, correct?
because you can’t find it and don’t want to admit you are wrong???
Incorrect. I’m refuting your fallacious claim that it is private information.
I told you, stop trying to put words in peoples’ mouths.
actually i am correct because you can’t prove me wrong…
go ahead, find my btag if you are so sure my btag is public information…
Did you see the link earlier, where someone showed you the screen explaining that your battletag is your public identity? Do you understand the concepts of public and private?
did this link reveal my btag to you?
because if it didn’t then it proves nothing
yeah i think i do: public means you can find my btag and private means you cannot find my btag
Cool, account wide ignore allows them to stop this with a few clicks. Much better than now
Easy report for harassment.
How can one do this without being in that group? Why would the leader necessarily believe the accuser over the accused?
Easy report for harassment.
Also of note, so far all the negatives you describe are easier with the current setup.
oh so you’re saying that players can already find other player’s alts, so we might as well just make it easier for them?
Then, no, you don’t.
If ignorance is bliss, you must be ecstatic. Bye now.
ok how about this… you tell me what my btag is, and i’ll admit you are right
if you don’t tell me my btag, then i have no choice but to confirm you are incorrect.
Quote me saying that. Actually saying that and not you trying to imply that I said it.
well here’s what you said
so you’re saying we should go with the new setup because it doesn’t matter if people can already find alts now
which is actually incorrect… people can only find other player’s alts if the player doesn’t check the “show only player achievements.”
because if that box is checked, none of the third party websites will track alts.
