That doesn’t work on me. You not even trying to disprove me. I’m stating a fact and you tossing out “what ifs” and “well maybes”.
If you post anything on the other forums, it uses the btags. My that fact alone makes btags Public Information.
It not being used here doesn’t change that fact.

if btags were public information, then you, as a member of the public, would be able to find it, correct?

i don’t really need any other argument because this 100% proves that i am correct.
In game I can btag friend you and get it. Which makes in public info.
ok so go get it now and tell me what my btag is.
Not to mention that mods can see our btags on each character we post on.
It’s the connection to our account that create the ignores in game and make it possible account wide ignores in game.
Account wide ignore is possible in the forums without our tags showing.

moderators are employees of blizzard, obviously they would be privvy to the private information that is stored by the company such as btags
moderators can also see our real IDs, that doesn’t mean that real IDs are public information.
