Can we get account wide ignore?

That sounds like a good plan

These topics are crazy. Don’t have any real further input in this subject, since it’s been argued to death.

Yes they are. I get some people have “opinions”, like “ideas” not all of them are good.

Opinions are like ***holes, every buddy has one and they all stink.

Ah, I love that movie.

This is a vibe, I’d pick something like rosé or red wine personally but otherwise yes. :dracthyr_heart: :dracthyr_heart: :dracthyr_heart:

Can’t wait for when we have account wide ignores, as well as flags, likes, total post count and trust levels. The forums will be a better place.

God’s that will be swell.

I know I did it to myself but being able to edit any of my threads from the same character cause it’s all part of the account and not stuck to the character alone is going to be great.

But watching all the trolls flounder against the standard protections we should have, relegated to pay significant costs to continue will be so nice.

I don’t see Blizzard picking any sides after all…this.

Also, given how much Tauren droppings gets passed off as content in GD, maybe it’s better if new players aren’t allowed on GD until they’ve had time to form their own opinions.

i would like to respectfully disagree with this statement, my friend.

i believe that the forums is a wonderful place for new players to make new friends.

thank you for your input, though.

i hope you have a wonderful evening

With what we are asking for , you’ll be able to ignore entire accounts if you like instead of having to ignore a person’s entire army of alts individually

no and thats the fun part lol. most who are here are pro-taggers anyways yet when it comes to “outting” everyone they reel back which is what gonna happen if we have acc wide ignore. there is no way around that unless the forums are revamped, everyones gonna get outted w/ the btags and the full acc wide ignores. we’re better off with everyone just starting fresh.

pretty sure everyone here is ok w/ that. Atleast on the pro side

Why does it need to out anyone to have a unified forum id?

all it needs to be is tied in behind the scenes completely, so that an ignore ignores the account the character is on, not just individual characters. and keep things like flags, likes, trust levels and post counts no matter what character it’s posted on.

The forums already act like this for some things. If you get silenced or suspended it hits all your characters not just the one that the punished post was made on. And a few of us have universal trust level from a beta a while back. It’s basically some QOL so that you don’t lose all your stuff if you do a server change, or switch posting characters, and closes a gap that lets people trivially bypass ignores. There’s nothing about it that requires outing huge info on the account.

I would love that and tbh, I know it’s already a thing. Many xpacs ago, before pvp was not voluntary, I had a player who would stalk me with a 2nd account. And he would hunt me down in any zone I was in and grief me. Over and over and over. And griefing / harassment through chat. It went on for a very long time, and he griefed another woman and some other people as well (I would say he was very mentally unwell). I made many complaints with Bliz, and eventually I saw in my ignore list a “blocked invite” which across all of my alts contains what looks like a bnet name. So I know they have the ability.

Yeah but from what I hear it is server only and it is only one the toon that blocked the bnet account. Any alts would have to block the bnet account separately.

It nneds to be a straigh one bnet account ignores another bnet account option .

Ya I mean IDK how it would work with merged servers, this was prior to that. But after they did that I never had an issue again. They could have also took some action against his account, of course I don’t know. But the technology is there. Blizzard doesn’t care about what the players really want, only their own agenda. Maybe with Microsoft buying them there will be changes but I won’t hold my breath.

As long as there are tighter controls around call outs and any grudge bearing.
