The above poster (Frostymae) is a perfect example of why we need account wide ignore. Just look at his post history. Nutter is going around creating troll bait threads, bumping multi-year ancient threads with troll posts etc.

Wouldn’t it be easier to make us choose a single character, use our Bnet, or a completely new forum only avatar?
That way it’s one ignore and done.

I am SICK to death of seeing that “hidden reply” thing too. Get rid of it. I dont want to know if someone Ive blocked…or has blocked me…has responded to me.

I’m just trying to understand the need to ignore with a button. But then again, I also don’t respond instantly to text messages.
If I’m bumping heads with someone here, it’s way to easy to not respond to them at all. Just because we disagree on one subject doesn’t mean we disagree on all subjects.
It seems to me this “ignore anyone I disagree with” is contributing to the division of the country. How can we ever compromise if there’s never a discussion? Because we are ignoring each other? Yea, brilliant strategy…

Spamming or Trolling
This category includes:
- Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
- Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
- Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
- Making non-constructive posts
- Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:
- Be given a temporary or permanent ban from the forums, depending upon severity
If you feel that someone is violating the Code of Conduct, just report it. But creating a post for the purpose of multiquoting, and telling the forum moderators what to do, is going to land you on a whole lore more trouble.

It should be that easy. I agree. If everyone behaves within the confines of the CoC, there should be no reason to have to block in the first place. Just blowing right on past someones post if we’ve agreed to disagree should be enough.
But the insults and name calling, lol. One poster above is borderline slander/libel for god sake.
Id personally rather just have a total blackout so I no longer have to acknowledge that persons existence instead of having their ‘hidden reply’ in my face when Ive decided that enough is enough and blocked them.

Funny thing is, I am very conservative and have VERY far left friends. We talk politics all the time. Havent had a harsh word in all the years weve known each other.

And where is it against the CoC to keep reminding of certain rules of the CoC? The fact that you’re more worried about everyone elses behaviour, while at the same time, trying to demand the forum moderators on what to do, without taking any concequences for your own actions… And on top of that, the post before this one replied too, where you decide to go an extra level to actually go with harassment towards me… Yeah, I can read.
Talking about me, since I’m the poster above you. Sorry, but is actually harassment. Although you may not think it is, and yes, the meanings behind Slander and Libel doesn’t seem like it is, but keep in mind, harassment takes in many forms, and the way you have worded it in your post, is a form of harassment.

Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific player with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one player from consistently being uncomfortable in the forums.

EDIT: And the only person capable of ruining your reputation, is yourself. This is the forums, not politics.

When the thread is locked again, we know exactly who caused it.
WE have asked/begged you all to STOP calling names, insulting,etc for DAYS now
MY actions…friend…has been to ask/beg YOUR group to stop calling names a long list of times in this thread and get BACK to the TOPIC.
I mean you don’t see any other posters shoving the CoC into anyone else’s face.
No poster should be looking to actively police other posters in that sense.

Threads by extension like the Btag threads can’t stay up because ya’ll just take baits instead of actually ignoring them for once and insult people. Listen I’m all for supporting btags or account wide ignore but ya’ll need to acknowledge that the whole reason why past threads like this get locked or 404’d is because ya’ll cant control yourselves.
