Just very obvious they’re trying to anger people and hiding behind cheery sounding words while they’re putting words in people’s mouths and lying constantly about what they and other people are saying.

This never works like this because everyone doesn’t get along therefore you will always have people not getting along or liking one another, it’s also why the topic of this thread is very important because being able to ignore someone once and never have to deal with them when there is that type of issue is a positive and something that should be on the WoW forums like everywhere else whether it’s added through battletag or another means it should happen.

In some cases I agree, however there are always going to be those people you just can’t stand and will want to never interact with again and that’s where account wide ignoring/blocking comes into play because it should always be an option for those who want it and want to use it.

well then i would suppose it is a good thing you aren’t able to find my alts using account wide ignore then, correct?
but having account wide ignore will allow forum users to find other people’s alts and then bother them in game.

What makes you think I would give two spits about what alt you are on or your main? Neat thing about ignore in game, it is account wide. I can ignore Doobly, and the result is that your entire account is ignored. Just need a name and server.

Anywhere where its unrelated to the forums its entirely possible to do so with the current system and has nothing to do with the forums protections or potential protections in any capacity.

The way I’d want account ignore to work would be like someone doesn’t even exist anymore so again that would never happen because you’d never see me and I’d never see you if I ignored you, it’s legit the best way to avoid someone 100% if you ignore them and that’s how I want the forums to work, I don’t read hidden messages anyway when they show up currently for people I ignore so.
The guy doesn’t want discussion, just conflict.

actually, here is a fun fact.
a person can prevent anyone from finding their alts on third party websites like check-pvp because they can check the box in game that says “show only character achievements.”
however, if the account wide ignore feature were to go live on the forums, people would have no say over whether their alts are tracked or not
but there will be the possibility of people using the account-wide ignore feature maliciously to find alts.
its just not safe to use.
and they still will show up on Check-PvP as they don’t use achievements to track characters.
