As a PVP DH main we are all sick and tired of every other melee in the game having 1-3 root removing abilities while we have 0. We literally have to stand still in 8 second roots praying to god we get a dispel, and if its a survival hunter, there aint no dispel, just rooted forever, sitting in meta like a clown. Make Vengeful retreat remove roots like come on.
Examples of other melees not caring at all about roots:
Fury warrior removers - Bloodrage, Bladestorm, Signet legendary procing either Avatar or Bladestorm (3)
Druid - infinite
Ret - freedom
Survival hunter - Pet freedom, disengage
Even Enh shaman and DK have one lol.
Come on, its 2022 you can’t have a class sit in soft cc forever.

With current pvp talents moving into the havoc or general class tree it looks like we’ll have more room then ever to run reverse magic(our sudo magic root braker)

wasn’t there an effect like this put on VR? I saw that in the alpha notes… is it live in the alpha? can anyone confirm?
I believe you’re seeing the part of VR where it removes snares, not roots. That’s always been in the game. It was very useful during the wrathion fight in nyalotha!

VR should break roots and deal 500% more damage when rooted. Just for laughs.

Most roots are dispellable, you can reverse them or immolation cleanse. If I know I’m going to tunnel an r shaman I take immolation and save it for earth grab. In 2s against survival hunters I take relentless trinket and flight. You can fly up every other steel trap and just blast away (so you still do damage)

Well it’s better than being mongo using your offensive ability then it not doing damage. Wait for the root use immolation and then your free for the next 45 sec from earth grab.

Very expensive spell to use. That second spells to save our life. It’s not a good choice.

Melees laugh about slows and roots in this game.
Casters have such a bad time 1v1 melees. Laugh about roots, slows with so many gap closers. Kiting seems impossible.
Now you are asking for a root breaker, you all just want 100% uptime.
