I don’t know how many of you have alternates stuck at 110, but I have a lot. As such I would be willing to pay for a 10-level boost to 120, but not $60. It’s nice Blizzard is offering a 120-level boost with the purchase of Shadowlands (which I already purchased) so that players can start gearing those characters up prior to Shadowlands, but that is not helping my situation much. How about something like $20 for a 10-level boost. I would probably buy 10 of those for $200. Then I could start gearing those characters upon the release of 8.3. Otherwise, I will just wait for Shadowlands to pick the expansion of my choice to level my alternates the last few levels to 50 with 70% less effort.
The anniversary event is giving a nice XP buff. Combine that with the one from DMF and you could probably get some decent leveling done. I’m going to be doing just that with the last 110 I want to cap.
I dont understand the wait argument. Shadowlands prepatch is at best still 8 months away. So even if you only leveled like 15m a day total by the time shadowlands came they would be max level anyway.
Yea, one island expedition + 1 random dungeon = ~ 1 level
It’s not like I don’t have any level 120’s and nothing to do. I will boost a level 1 character to 120 with the boost I got from pre-purchasing Shadowlands after 8.3 is released. It’s just I got burned out on leveling 110-120. Hate it. Willing to pay to avoid it, but not $60 per character.
I would totally use that. The last time, I used my 110 boost on a level 100, and used my 100 boost on a level 90.
I think $20 is more than fair for a 10 level boost.
As it is now, I plan to use my boost on a character I don’t plan to play. Whatever class I haven’t used a boost on yet to get the boost gear.
That reminds me that I need to make some allied races since they all come with level 20 mogs.
toss in the looms and it should be ridiculously fast atm.
Get someone to powerlevel you in Freehold. With full heirlooms and a good group its like 10-15 min a run and you level super fast if you are burnt out of doing the zones. Then just jump into Nazjatar.
And have rested XP
I was here first
If we ever meet I will give you a big hug, sister.
Those last ten levels are so easy to do. Sure they might be boring, I guess if you had the money to burn but I doubt they are going to add a +10 level boost any time soon.
I am not playing any more alts until shadowlands release.
I think you may be right. I believe I have figured it out. All my 110 alts have 200% XP maxed out. Add to that the anniversary XP bonus and it should not be too bad. When an alt runs out of 200% XP I’ll just player other 110/120 alts until the 200% XP maxes out again.
I got 110 to 111 and change in 10 min in the AV event last night. That includes rest xp and both PvP trinkets.
I’m against it.
The purpose of the boost is to get new players into the game as fast as possible so they can see current content and play with their friends without having to drudge through weeks worth of garbage first.
The fact that we can purchase extra boosts outside of the free one is just a bonus. They don’t need to make an entire store category for skipping content.
I say this as someone who has spent over $1000 on character boosts, including several 10-20 level boosts.
How about no!
