I’m running around to find chests for the Runekey related to those and using the Experiemental Go-Pack after being aggroed it just resets the aggro range of the mob that follows me. First he stops, then stays in place, then when I land aggros back wherever I may be and follow the entire map if he has to, while also pulling everything on its path. Really annoying.
The first couple times this happened I thought it had to either be my imagination or someone pulled aggro onto me somehow because it had been a couple of minutes since I’d ran past any mobs on my way to the starting area on Siren Isle.
I realized today nope. Mobs on Siren Isle will literally chase you across the entire zone to get to you if you aggro them but don’t stop to kill them. Doesn’t matter if you’re mounted and running, or even if you’re up in the air using the Experimental Go-Pack.
Annoying indeed.
This only further confirms the map is a scrapped one from BfA isle expeditions. Since those were instanced and mobs don’t drop aggro inside an instance but will chase you forever, unless obviously you use a aggro dropping ability.
I lose aggro all the time mounted riding to one of the bosses, I also see mobs running back from chasing others who got out of aggro range. You need to be more specific about what happeb to you.
It’s pretty specific. I aggroed a mob to open a chest, ignored the mob, used the Experimental Go-pack to fly away, flew away, landed much further away, got aggro back on me on a mob that was so far away from me that the aggro range is impossible AND one that lost the aggro onto me because I got too far.
You know when you fly away from mobs you randomly pull trying to collect minerals, herbs or chests across any zone? When they aggro but you already started casting your mount and you fly away? Yeah well the aggro range has a limit that once you cross it flying away it will instantly make the mob stop and reset, but in instances there’s none. This happens on the Siren Isles, you drop the aggro once you get far enough, but then you get the aggro back as if it calculated that since you’re in an instance it’s not supposed to drop it and should follow you despite you being allowed to fly. At least that’s also the only explication I see of why you get it back. Even tho the Siren Isles are not an instance they are considered so by the mobs.
i disagree make the mobs chase you across the server forever.
Sure, let’s just give you creative mode with no aggro so you can just skip along and collect your treasures with no risk, kitten.
Jesus are you purposely trolling?
This is about the mobs literally having no limit to their aggro range. It’s okay in instances, it’s not okay outside in the world. Even less with the fact they also tag everything on their path to have a huge pack follow you across the map. This isn’t about " Removing aggro " my god, it’s about giving it the same limit there has been since they changed the aggro range from Vanilla. And even then, 20 years ago there was a limit to it which there is not here on the Siren Isles.
Cause you believe it’s normal for mobs to currently drop aggro because the limit is reached and then get it back a few seconds later? Don’t think it’s a bug or it’s badly programmed perhaps? Like-
Stop trolling this is dumb.
This doesn’t happen if you just run through mobs on a mount. They might seem to “follow you forever” but that’s only because the island is tiny.
I don’t have mobs chasing me forever, but I’m not using the jet pack either
Also, you should be killing things anyway for the torrential fragments, unless you already have that runekey.
Yeah I got that one already, I did the chests last, but I’m not that lost as to forget the island is tiny xd there’s still a limit to their range which is something like 15 yards passed their Aggro range which is about 20 yards if of the same level.
Currently they have the correct aggro range of 20 yards, they correctly reset passed 15 yards but then they get the aggro back at least whenever I use the experiemental go-pack and from there on out they keep following until killed
