Having just come back to the game haven’t really played Retail since the start of SL… why did professions have this overhaul we have now? Why do I need 1, 2, 3 different “qualities” of items? Just feels like item bloat and trying to drag out the whole profession process to be as long as possible. Not sure I’m a fan of this system.

It’s trash and I hate it. I only gather now because it’s not worth the time.

Yeah the multiple ranks of materials really suck, but otherwise it’s a great system.

Glad I’m not the only one!! I’m pretty annoyed at what it’s become, shouldn’t be this convoluted just to craft things.
Likely my path too going forward.
The purpose is to reduce availability of higher tier consumables, enchants, and crafted gear so that these items are more valuable; this in turn drives token sales, especially at the start of a patch.
Yep I am not surprised by this.

convoluted is right, i’m VERY confused on how exactly it works. I kind of get the gist but there are so many options it’s hard to keep track
