…or will we ever be able to?
According to the only official statements made by Blizzard, no.
It would be a terrible idea for them to let you do that.
Inflation is all ready a major problem in TBC and allowing SOM copies would only add to it.
SOM is a failed project, so you shouldn’t expect much when it ends.
The only thing I could think of happening is SOM TBC, which, if they model it after the half hearted and poorly thought out SOM vanilla, will suffer the same fate.
Hopefully not.
I’d argue that the few still playing SoM and choose to transfer into TBCC at this point with their lvl 60 materials would be a drop in the bucket but I also agree that they should not be copied over into Crusade. If they wanted to play on a TBC server they should have rolled on a TBC realm.
can you link the official statement
I’m not Mackinnon but here it is.
I suppose the Classic Era part has me a bit confused. Since wow classic also incorporates TBC as well. Its either retail or classic (and era typically refers to a lengthy-time period). So does that mean we have a choice between ALL Classic servers including TBC or ONLY the vanilla classic ones?
I wish a blue would clarrify this
Classic Era is the vanilla permanent servers. Not the same as Classic TBC. It is very clear.
tbcc isn’t Classic Era. Some would even argue it isn’t ‘Classic’
Reason why I didn’t play SOM.
this was such a dumb decision
