Can we boost ghost speed or fix corpse runs?

Is it just me or are they terrible in SL? Are ghosts moving slower than before?

Seems to take forever to get back your corpse in these zones

If there was aver a time, an expansion set in the afterlife would be a great place to give us faster moving ghosts or something pls

We enable corpse’s with flying mounts… like every other expansion.

It certainly feels that way but that could just be because we get that weird floaty spirit isntead of our normal ghosts.

Maybe it feels slower due to the layout of some areas?

Doesn’t that happen once flight it’s open on the area? I don’t know.

You guys have not figured out that many things are slowed down like this to try and pad /played time for stock prices? Time gating is a for profit model lol

I thought it was just me they are super slow.
Also 6 min rez timer on world bosses is a bit much.

I’m hip to this. It’s bad enough that I lose 10% of my stygia when I die, but by the time I get back to my corpse all of the mobs have respawned. Some days, it’s just better to take the rez-sickness…

Damn I see this a lot on the forums. So cynical! They’re naturally a business that tries to make money. But they also added a 15 min port to any zone for engineers–huge time saver. Some things are just designed as they are. Incentive to not die perhaps.

Also because the ghost model in SL isn’t your character. The speed seems the same, you just get stuck with a man-sized model that doesn’t have legs, so you don’t really get the same sense of movement.

Plus, there’s now a potion that increases your speed while dead by 100%, which is pretty neat.

Player engagement or /playtime is a metric they like to flaunt at investors/stockholders to show how invested people are in the game. Plus time gating means they might get an extra month of sub from you trying to finish certain achieves/mounts/mogs etc…

Huh, that’s a thing? I’ve only died once during a torghast run and once (if you want to count it as a SL death) during the Nathanos boss fight but this… I don’t know if I like. It is sure to give you some weird sense of movement for sure.

Yeah, they changed the death effects while in SL so it looks more like your soul gets ejected to an obelisk, and then has to run back to your body, which looks more defeated than dead I guess? But it leaves a spectral skeleton when you rez. It’s interesting, to say the least.
