Can we ask for more privacy features in forums to feel more secure?

This is what Doobly does. Eventually enough people will ignore that character too, and they’ll move on to another. It’s happened a few times already.

This is a public forum. People can post wherever they see fit.

But Aard you and your paladin friend have a grand time.

Yeah, thread needs to be locked. There is nothing more to the discussion

Especially since the OP only pops in to post once or twice and then disappears again. Clearly, the topic doesn’t matter too much to them.

They’ll just post it again.

Are you them? How would you know?

The past 3-4 times isn’t evidence enough for you?

Hm fair. I had forgot about the other threads.

Well they had been given special permission to recreate the thread this time.

If they do it again after it was actioned, I think the mods will likely put a stop real quick

well the moderators didn’t say why it was unlisted or that nelfas isn’t allowed to make a new one, right?

One can only hope and even that is quite low.

If this one is unlisted but able to post in and they make another one, at that point, wouldn’t it be spam?

This one can still be discussed in it simply isn’t locked.

did you ever look closely at the spam flag identifier?

it specifically says the following:

This post is an advertisement, or vandalism. It is not useful or relevant to the current topic.

recreating this thread is not an advertisement, so no, it wouldn’t be spam by the definition of the wow forums.

And you still won’t link your “source”. Which is very odd.

Wouldn’t having duplicate threads make one not useful or relevant to the one originally created?

Also even though the little box’s definition is that, the actual spam definition is expanded here:

Spamming or Trolling

This category includes:

  • Excessively communicating the same phrase, similar phrases, or pure gibberish
  • Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
  • Making non-constructive posts
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages
  • Numbering a thread, IBTL, TLDR, or any other fad statements

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary or permanent ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Creating Duplicate Threads

This category includes:

  • Creating threads about existing topics
  • Creating a separate thread about an existing topic for further discussion in more than one forum

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:

  • Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

But this thread is wrapped up for now. Good day.

what does that have to do with nelfas making a new thread?

is it really a duplicate thread when this one isn’t listed?

Nothing, just pointing out that you have claimed to want a discussion but do just about everything to actually avoid backing up talking points that you claim are supported by data.

Which is incredibly weird if you actually have the data you claim to have.

i have already provided talking points in a previous post. should you wish to address those, i will be happy to respond to that.

And yes, it would still be a duplicate of an existing thread.

This thread may be unlisted, but it still exists. In fact the locked ones still probably exist as well.
