Can We Address PvP?

Can we please address WoW Classic’s PvP Problem? Currently I play Horde, and I used to really enjoy PvP in Vanilla WoW however I feel like that has been ruined with the massive growth in Classic pre-mades. I know there were pre-mades back in the day as well, however they were not at the same level as the current pre-mades and you would only occasionally run into them. I can’t think of a recent time that I have tried to PvP that I haven’t ran into a pre-made in WSG or AB. I would go do AV however the current queue times for me average well over an hour. This leaves me with the only real options to either join in the pre-mades, or not PvP because getting farmed for 30 minutes in your graveyard isn’t fun. Since we have already made changes that change the integrity of the “classic” experience, can we also just implement the pre-made v pre-made change? I think this would benefit the vast majority of players who aren’t trying to grind out GM or HWL. Also it might add more prestige and “wow” factor to people who actually complete the grind.

If they do premade vs premade your q times will skyrocket and your experience in the match will be the same as it is in AV, no competition.

Alliance PvPers will not q only to be placed alongside jokers who are too entitled to even try.

If the amount of PvPers were even between the factions these problems would be much less of an issue. I see a lot of horde complaining but this is the crap you created by all flocking to the most broken faction.

At this point it’s up to horde PvPers’ to reroll or the system cant be fixed.

You’re implying that all alliance will simply quit playing and ranking if a premade vs premade mechanic is instituted? Assuming that’s true (which I doubt) that’s literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.

No I’m stating that nobody in their right mind but bots afks and leechers are going to play in alliances solo q. Which means your q times will go waaaaayyyyy up… unless you’re in an premade of course.

So every person playing alliance going for rank 14 will just stop pvping?

Again, that is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard.

Edit: and again, we’re not asking for solo queue’s only, we’re asking for premades to fight premades and pugs vs pugs only. Not the same thing you’re saying.

To what extent? Can you elaborate, because I have also been playing Classic BGs, and keeping a log.

What are your findings?

Or literally anybody in their right mind.

Solo queuing is fine at the moment.

I haven’t kept a log, purely anecdotal. Could be a complete coincidence, but I can say I went 5 for 5 today all pre-mades.

a premade ruins the experience for anyone not doing premades. Are you saying that no one on alliance would PvP at all? Not even for fun or say to get gear that doesn’t require R14? I am not sure how you can say that no one would PvP ever on alliance if they couldn’t go in a premade. Lastly I would rather have a longer queue and have a fair fight over going in and having to choose between /afking out or getting farmed for 20 minutes and getting a single honor token as my reward.

Alliance will continue to play the way they’ve been playing and that is in a premade.

You guys say you see mostly premades all day and I don’t think you realize how few people solo q on Alliance. Remember we’re talking about putting premades against only premades. Meaning there is a separate q for solo qers. Meaning your q will be way longer.

Alliances solo q experience is twice as bad as hordes because EVERY game is full of afks, alts, pve specs, memespecs, and bots. Nobody that solo qs on Alliance cares about pvp, they just want welfare gear. Therefore, nobody that cares about PvP is going to solo q.

Horde cant have their cake and eat it too. You rolled the majority PvP faction and compounded the problem. The root of every problem we’re having with PvP is pvp population faction balance. It’s why your qs are long, it’s why our pugs are full of afks, and it’s what will have to be fixed before we can address many of these other issues you all have.

Also it wouldn’t be a fair fight. It would be the same thing as AV: A bunch of sweaty horde warrior rankers who cant find a group vs a bunch of afk, pve/memespec alts. You’d just steamroll all day, and that isnt fair either.

Face it, we cant tackle any more horde pvp problems without making WAY bigger problems. At this point the ONLY way we can move forward is if a bunch of horde PvPers are having a poor enough experience to reroll and continuing to pander to horde complaints will accomplish the complete opposite and make all these problems even worse.

You could have a system that matches premade vs premade if enough are queuing, but if after a certain period of time there is no match, THEN you can match the premade against pugs. Not theoretical physics here.

Except it would end up being horde favored. Alliance premades would always fight horde premades and horde premades would still get to steamroll pugs on occasion. That’s still not fair.

You guys have to FACE IT. And stop dancing around the real problem. As many times as I’ve posted about this I’ve yet to see a SINGLE HORDE acknowledge this issue and ALL of them somehow expect us to have sympathy for their issues?

Blizzard sees all of this. They’re not going to make the same mistake they made with AV and if they do you will quickly see that solo q dwindle to being borderline unplayable as the few alliance who do solo q stop doing so.

it’s about making it more fair than it currently is. It’s never going to be perfect

That doesnt make it more fair. You think it makes it better for you but it doesnt do that either. Alliance WILL NOT be made to pay the price for the poor system that HORDE CREATED by all stacking on the faction with the best PvP racials.

There are ONLY TWO possible solutions:

  1. Blizzard takes a FAR MORE aggressive stance against botters and afks. Doubt they’ll do that though because your q times would skyrocket

  2. A bunch of horde PvPers reroll alliance. Enough of this would actually fix everything.

I think we should put free faction changes from horde to alliance for players above rank 8 until the qs are even.

Alliance will stop queueing during p5 release

Right, horde don’t see it but pvp for horde is on it’s way out once raid gear is equivalent to PvP gear. Yall will be sitting in a q that will likely never pop.

Gotta face it at some point, you should probably start now.

actually yeah… most alliance players that reach rank 14 stop playing in BG’s whats the point they are exalted, they no longer need to honor grind, they have their marshal gear… and all what most do is farm gold, raid and world pvp… thats litterally it. i mean do you see rank 14 alliance in BG’s? or do you see rank 13’s?

this is litterally the same principle as when premades for AV ended… good alliance didnt want to que with pugs so they quit AV all together.

deal with it or go play AV

This is another thing horde seem to not understand. On Herod most of our ranking premades are there for PvE gear and once their grind is done they never BG again. Anyone willing to grind that much can easily get in a guild thats 1 tapping these raids the first week they drop. What happens when AQ drops and they can get gear that’s just as good as the PvP gear? That’s right, your qs go up again not only that but they keep going up as more and more alliance finish they grinds for their pve gear.

Horde will have to face the facts eventually. I fear that by that time it’s already too late.

The Alliance can’t handle a fair fight, this would make sense to me.
