Can "very rare" raid loot drop from the "World" row of the Great Vault?

So, let me put out a scenario, and if you know how it works, just let me know.

I’ve been trying for the “Void Reaper’s Warp Blade” from Nexus Princess Ky’veza in Nerub’ar Palace. It’s a fist weapon listed as “very rare” in the raid guide. I defeat enough LFR raid bosses (including Ky’veza) each week to fill out the raid row of the great vault. My question is twofold:

  1. Can “very rare” raid loot drop from the great vault at all, or must it drop directly from the boss?
  2. If it can drop from the vault, can “very rare” raid loot drop from the world row of the vault if I do enough delves to fill it out? Or can it only drop from the raid row?

Thanks for your patience; new to the vault and just trying to figure out how it gets populated with items.

Raid loot only comes from the Raid row.
All raid items, rare or otherwise, can drop from that raid row in the Vault (once you’ve defeated the boss that drops that loot).
Once unlocked, the items can show up in the Vault even if you don’t kill that particular boss the previous week. Say you don’t clear Nerub’ar one week, but only get 2 raid slots filled – you could potentially still get the fist weapon from those 2 slots, because it’s been unlocked already.

Yes.

Only the raid row. All raid items except for the five tier pieces are exclusively available in the raid section of the great vault.

I keep hoping a heroic version will drop from my Turbulent Timeways bag but so far no luck.

Yes, you can get very rare raid drop in the vault row for raids, assuming you unlocked that boss by killing it, or a boss later in the raid sequence (e.g., killing Queen unlocks all earlier bosses). I received a Sureki Zealot’s Insignia in the vault, which is a “very rare” neck that drops from Sikran (3rd boss), so verified it’s possible to get very rare from the vault.

No, as @Vhx said in the first reply… raid loot drops only from the raid row of the vault.

The table of loot for Delves and Raids and M+ are all unique (there’s no overlap of named items to the best of my knowledge; e.g., you can only get a Treacherous Transmitter by doing Raid, a Skarmorak Shard by doing M+, and a Shadow-Binding Ritual Knife by doing Delves).

on my various toons throughout the season i have got every single very rare drop in the great vault. never on the same toon but they all have happen. as long as it isnt a professions pattern and the mount it can show up in the vault. it has to be the raid part of the vault it cant come from dungeon or delve

Nearly all the “rare” raid gear I have equipped came from the vault including queen’s mandate I got this week.

I think I may have got the neck from when we were still running the raid but that’s about it and I may very well have got the neck too from the vault.
