Just returning to the game and really enjoying Vengeance tanking.
I’ve seen posts on Vengeance PVP, but no clear answer.
Long story short, as others have posted, I really don’t enjoy playing Havoc (rotation).
I feel decent in battlegrounds and world PVP as Vengeance.
But has anyone had success in arena as Vengeance?
I main PVE, but would also like to push PVP.
Wanted to see if there were any Vengeance PVPers out there that could weigh in, or if I should PVP on my warlock (and continue PVE on my DH).
Hey mate,
I’m in no way a PvPer, however, based on how Vengeance functions, this would be my assumption.
No. Theoretically, Vengeance would not be suitable for PvP. Our healing is based on damage done, more specifically, our AoE damage. 2v2 for example, we would really only have 1 target to beat on (2 if they’re not a good comp) and the healing coming from that damage would be minimal. While our utility would be nice, we just don’t bring the damage or healing to be viable, therefor not being self sustainable enough to warrant such low single target damage.
Edit: The above is aimed at Arena.
Vengeance isn’t viable in arena whatsoever.

I wouldn’t do veng in arena (have run into it a few times and they just lack the healer disruption vs say a prot pally), that said they can do very well in RBG’s as the FC, though you will still want to be H on most nonFC maps.
It’s good for holding a point, you can stay alive long enough to wait for help but that’s about it
CTF maps and KotH maps, VDH is okay. Lots of mobility and AOE. Surviving most comps is where you’ll have issues, without soul barrier, you fall over to mage comps, and even with your leap, you’ll never get away from rogues and warriors. Kiting is mandatory and be good at it. VDH just does not have the sustain that bear druids do, or the healing of bdks. I play VDH regularly in RBGs, and you move around the map great, but dont expect to stay standing for long in any kind of yolo pug group. You need heavy peels and heals as VDH.
veng use to be really fun to play. pve and pvp. but blizz came in and put a stop to that with unneeded nerfs on a regular basis. we are garbage in pve and an absolute joke in pvp, its sad. but hey, havoc is legit so at least we have 1 decent playstyle?
Ive played Havoc since Legion came out until a month ago… I seem to have a bunch more heals in Vengeance than I do as Havoc. Ive been pvping in it and it depends on what your doing. As far as rated Bgs and such Vengeance is good. Arenas other people say no but with all my stuns and silences as Vengeance its pretty handy and I seem to win more in twos But again that also depends on what class your partnered with. I am usually with a Sub Rogue. Again stuns and silences are handy with this combo. Also going to depend on your talent pics grasp is a nice one top pick. Trample another excellent pvp talent especially when you are out numbered. Mostly for the Health increase as you xform into demon form automatically gaining the health and hopefully the stun will wear off on your healer or one will come along it buys the time.
