What does a video about trying to get over tanking anxiety, from almost a year ago, have to do with soloing higher key mythics now?

Your friend doesn’t know what he’s talking about, ignore him and have fun.
Your friend must only have played with Blood DK’s or something. Prot War, Brew, Guardian, DH, pretty much always rely on a healer to pump into them while they stagger, absorb, or block the damage. Prot pal used to be able to do it, but they nerfed it a bunch so they could possibly solo a m0 but any keystones it most likely wouldn’t survive.
