So I don’t have a subscription anymore but I still look at the forums to see some good news ( none yet) and I notice I’m still able to use it, this new? By that I mean I have no Game time but I’m still able to use the forums but I see it’s a bug now.
With the new software its a “bug” they intend to fix… But remember it took over half a year to fix the broken search history.
Currently not working as intended.
Oh okay lol
Pro team they have here.
They stated “the fix was not a priority” because new forums were on the way shortly after the history broke on January it took 10 months for the new forums to arrive…
Blues and MvPs parroted that response for months like it was ok. Some random poster made a fix that worked within weeks yet a billion dollar company took months to fix somthing so simple.
You could always read the forums without a sub. You just can’t post or like.
Sounds like they got rid of a lot of dead weight with the layoffs then. A company of this stature that doesn’t have a web team able to fix a forum is kind of pathetic.
Had** they probably let go a couple of em.
There are a lot of talented people who don’t work in “billion dollar” companies.
Video game companies should have bug bounty programs. Cheap QA if they pay with in-game currency or items.
Why would any employee want to fix something? They get a pat on the back and have to sign away any right to it to their employers.
I have worked at Intel for six years and have seen more than one “So ans so saved us $6 million a year with this program” with no reward for their work. The smart people stay quiet and test their stuff out then leave so sell it privately.
Edit: I let my old credit card expire and never updates the payment info so I do not currently have a sub.
its been this way for months
be happy to or this place would be a ghost town if this “bug” was fixed lol
when they state their metrics “active forum users” is one im sure, so this “bug” works nicely for padding : /
If you cancelled your sub but still had time on your account you could still post till your time ran out.
No, it wouldn’t. But it would be less of a dumpster fire.
lol how do you know that? the only way we have it is this way, so you cant really ASSUME it would be
Exactly if people are not subbed and have no time they are more than likely just going to come here and troll.
Yeah, but this is Blizzard we’re talking about. It is about making a bigger profit without delivering the product unbroken.
Repeat after me:
Small indie game development company.
And after the layoffs and the resulting impact on morale of the ones still there, they are struggling to do the best they can.
Just show them some patience and wait a year or so for it to be fixed.
/moo
Because I’m not some dramatic edgy teenager who thinks that less than one percent of the population who posts here has all unsubbed. I have a modicum of logic that tells me this game is still a sub based game and millions across the world still play it, so the random few hundred-- if that-- that post here aren’t all the unsubbed crowd. Especially when these forums were just as busy prior to this new system, which isn’t that old.
Logic and intelligence is a wonderful thing!
Sounds like they cleaned house with all the dead weight they had lying around.
