Can The Worgen Be Fixed?

But Worgen aren’t werewolves. Worgen fantasy isn’t Werewolf fantasy, regardless of how much werewolf fans want it to be. Worgen should have tails to differentiate them from werewolves.

I’ve seen Forsaken souls in Bastion. So as far as I’m concerned none of the afterlives have a claim on a race as a whole.

And Tauren aren’t literally minotaurs. They’re not chasing Greeks around mazes. But it’s beyond obvious that’s the basis for them.

Statements like this misrepresent the what the covenants are supposed to be

About that…

There’s a worgen soul in Maldraxxus you make an abomination dog body for. Neena. Quests called Every Dog Has It’s Day.

Inspiration =/= basis.

And I don’t see anyone claiming they want Tauren to live in a Maze to “keep the fantasy.”

Are you just being disagreeable because you’re bored?

The worgen character creation screen has a dark wood, Victorian town and full moon on it.

What the actual hell do you think they’re supposed to be?

Worgen. :wolf:

Which they’re called because you can’t copyright the concept of a werewolf.

They don’t call the Forsaken Frankenstein’s Monsters but between the tesla coils, stiched on appendages and the female hair option you’re supposed to put two and two together.

There is a reason I said “probably” meaning it is not a 100% things and exceptions do tend to occur.

Also, I am quite aware of how the covenants works and that they quite individualized. That doesn’t means that certain covenants do not have a tendency to attract certain races. Like none of us would be particularly surprised if we found a night elf soul in Ardenweald.

That’s because night elves are culturally groomed to prefer a place like that. Something like the forsaken, not so much. Hell, I’d personally think forcibly being consigned to Maldraxxus just for being forsaken would be a sort of torture, because you’re finding yourself right back in the middle of a zombie army that you spent your (willful) unlife hating and wanting revenge against its earthly creator.

In general I’d love to see how the Forsaken react to this afterlife business but that would be too interesting.

Like the Gen 1 Forsaken were turned immediately so they’ve probably never been to SL. But by Cata they’re digging up people who’ve been dead for awhile. And in like Derrick’s case he’d been sitting at the bottom of the ocean for decades. He was likely already processed and in line to become a Kyrian or Maldraxxi or whatever.

And I’ll accept being yoinked up back to the material plane gives you amnesia. Maybe you bonk your soul’s noggin pretty bad on the veil between worlds or something. But you’d think going there might jog some memories.

You’re right, certain cultures will be predisposed for certain covenants, I might have been a bit harsh there, but still, I disagree about Worgen. Culturally they are Gilnean Humans, I don’t think them having a connection to Goldrinn through their curse will overpower any individual “soul experience”, unlike someone like a Night Elf, whos entire culture revolves around nature.

Couldn’t he just had been in a more mundane part of the Shadowlands, thus being pulled from there doesn’t create as much whiplash?

Man i miss the days when my faction leader openly taunted the other faction with the fact that he was planning to destroy them.

Unlike with current faction leader (not to name any names) who cares more about the lives of his enemies than the ones of faction

Almost like he understands the Forsaken were merely defending home and family. And in that regard no weapon is off the table.

These are people who were literally murdered. Then turned into slaves in Death. The idea any of them found their wives and husbands after the chaos is beautiful.

And the humans had the sneering audacity to take even that away from them. Nothing is more deadly than someone with nothing to lose, and the Forsaken experienced that level of abandonment twice over.

Can you even imagine having your whole world burned around you? Then you fall ill and die but even death offers you no peace. Finally you break free, and blessings upon blessing you find your beloved. A clawed monstrosity like you now but who cares.

And that last vestige of hope, that one light in the darkness is snuffed out by the same people you once called family?

The Wrath of the Forsaken is of anything toned down. Their killers deserved far worse.

The way you just described the forsaken was beautiful by the way, and really makes me wish the forsaken and worgen (the human gilneans could’ve went alliance) were allies, maybe than we would’ve gotten the dark werewolf race they promised us. :wolf:

mate, i was talking about Varian talking **** with Garrosh back in Wrath- not about the forsaken, no need to dump your manifesto on me lmao

but since im here

Invading other places isnt “merely defending home and family.” Its called expansionism- The quests vs the scarlet crusade and the ocassional alliance? yeah okay sure. Anything from Cata and onwards? pull the other one

oh booho, will somebody think of the undead children? Watch me as invade other places, wage no holds barred war with no quarters given, holding nothing sacred and not even allowing my foes to die in peace. Also watch me cry a river when others rightfully point out the monster ive become (or at least with whom i associate with and enable), dont you dare attack civilians tho, only we are allowed to do that

Yeah like when Zelling just showed up as undead out of nowhere, without warning and expecting his family to just roll with it and this the dude who actually had a choice on the matter. Also that problem was partially fed by Sylvanas so eh

Generally it’s accepted by this forum that Horde races have the special privilege of having no moral problems of being expansionist or ruthless colonizers because of being afraid for their own security.

Due to direct or indirect past events that involve the Alliance or one of its races. On the other hand, if we apply the same arguments towards Alliance action towards a Horde race then it is considered racist or monstrous because they are judging many for the actions of a few.

So Forsaken feel bad? Well time to start nuking the living woowee!

They went to humanity first. They tried to do this the ‘right’ way. They were dismissed. Their existence was a gross inconvenience to humanity. They were restore the northern kingdom of man. These free willed undead couldn’t be called people per their agenda.

And the funny thing is, if you treat people like monsters, they’re prone to show you what a monster looks like.

The simple fact is the Horde, less concerned over fleeting and soft ideas like beauty, gave the Forsaken a home when their own former kin offered them nothing but death.

Maybe they took it too far in some places. But their wrath was righteous and more holy than any Paladin’s.

The war between the hated normals and more cultured, strange people is so old hat that it was the premise of this ancient text;

No guys aktyually the Addams Family was the villains 'cos they weren’t nice to people
