Can the Ratchet Guards actually do anything?

I understand it’s part of the danger of playing on a PVP server, but not being able to step off the boat for more than 2 seconds before getting attacked by maxed out and geared horde who just jump into the water and break from the guard’s AI. Or the fact that literally nowhere else do the guards even help. Unless you’re right on top of a guard, which there are only two spots in the entire city, anyone can outright gank anyone else without any repercussion. I’ve been trying to get a single quest done for 30 minutes and cant get even halfway down the dock before I get murdered by a group of 3 jumping off the docks to mess with the guards pathing. I make it into the city and anywhere inside the city is a free for all. At least the Booty Bay Bruisers are actually patrolling the city and able to stop gankers anywhere and not just in a single, easily exploitable, spot.

How can you possibly think REQUIRING going to Ratchet for a whole set of runes is even remotely fair when you cant even reach the NPC without a whole raid group of counter gankers.

I mean, you only get ganked once or twice then just resurrect in the building with the Quest giver…

and immediately get attacked by some hunter who has their wind serpent pet on aggressive
and the guards do nothing

Like I said just have to be sneaky about where you pop back up… I’ve popped up underwater near the dock and swam further down then ran up the hill? I’ve corpse hopped into the inn… I’ve even popped up inside a NPC and the ran in…

because according to many of the people here, SoD is soooo alliance slanted.
the guards are pretty much worthless.

Even on PvP servers the Horde are more aggressive in the world PvP… Road warriors…

But yes in general in most organized battles Ally roflstomp them…

Stop undermining the seriousness of this GLARING issue. All other neutral towns don’t function this way. It’s effing stupid

there’s actually 4 spots with guards, at every entrance and exit of ratchet. that hunter with his pet on aggressive will regret it right away once you figure out where they are.

What they need to do is go put up a new goblin neutral town in Alliance territory (maybe Loch Modan), give the town exceptionally bad guards, and setup important rune quests in said town that require Horde to go there.

If you want it fair, do some of the quests to get Rachet rep.

The guards are much more helpful when you reach Friendly.

You can’t jump in the water to escape the guards. They will chase you and swim like 3x faster than you do.

Horde do not get special treatment from the guards, it’s just in your brain because you are mad you died.

You are entering a horde zone, expect PVP.

Reroll on a PVE server if you can’t handle it. It’s only going to get worse.

The guards work the same for horde and alliance.

You are not a PVPer if you think otherwise.

The guards attack me on horde all the time when I screw up and get too close.
