Can the Cloud Serpents come hang out at the Isles too?

Feels kinda mean they’re not at the Dragon Isles. I know they aren’t super titan related but they’re still dragons.

With the racing in Pandaria it just feels like a missed opportunity. Or maybe you could make some special dragon riding races just in Pandaria

I half expected them. I just associate them and the netherwings both with dragon racing, which is an oddly specific idea to be in Blizzards mind as long as it has been.

I’d also have been really happy to see the August Celestials turn up in the silly Avengers scene. Just throw everyone in there.

Yeah I’m kind of surprised they haven’t been included too.

I made a post about this about a couple months after DF was released. No love for the poor cloud serpents. Sad, given that Yu’lon and Tsulong were such a neat characters. I would have loved to seen their kind join the dragon races on the Isles. I guess they’re more… celestial than titan? That’s the only reason I can think they were excluded.

If I ever see a cloud serpent again it’ll be too soon.

It was a monkey paw wish, how could I not?

They were kind of the original dragon races, so it is kinda strange they weren’t mentioned

Worst part is Yu’Lon and the august celestials are all considered wild gods and they still couldnt throw Monk a bone with the emerald dream. To see some kind of easter egg or lore expansion, even miniscule would have been cool/appreciated.

Anything Pandaria is cursed to never be touched by blizz. So rip cloud serpents. Rip Pandaren. Rip Monk/august celestial lore.

I entirely agree with you. The celestials have so much potential to throw down on interventions and wisdom but got completely ditched after MoP. My panda monk is right there in the jaded feels with you. We got robbed of story significance in so many ways.

I wouldn’t complain if they were given a spot on the Dragon Isles. Sadly, most cloud serpents are bestial in nature and are seemingly incapable of speech, but there’s a couple around who are, like Yu’lon and Tsulong. A flight of heavenly cloud serpents would be amazing.

They’re not dragons. This is established in MoP.

While all dragons exhibit a degree of intelligence, Cloud Serpents are simply beasts.

They were serpents before, but they are now listed as lesser dragonkin, and not all cloud serpents are “simply beasts”. Most of them probably are though, but definitely not all. Cloud serpents are meant to resemble Asian depictions of dragons, so there’s that, too. They weren’t always dragons, but they certainly resembled them. It’s not that far of a stretch to add them to the list of dragons that could venture to the Dragon Isles.

This would require accurate and proper story telling. Look who we’re dealing with here. Wows story is garbage.

Because those hornswogs are definitely more dragon than those silly cloudserpent dragons. That’s true.

They said some of the mounts wont be able to “dynamically fly” due to animations, and immediately I was wondering about cloud serpents. I don’t think they straighten out fully.

Yeah I’m under the impression the cloud serpents are more akin to beasts.

I could see them changing the skeleton of cloud serpents to be more in line with the Slitherdrake one. I’m just not sure if that would look good, or if I would even want them to change it. Either way, I’d love to see them added to dynamic flight.

Hornswogs are also beasts and just native creatures of the isles? I don’t understand.
