The Horde has one.
We should get one, but that would require effort and blizz just doesn’t care about us.
There’s an item you can craft in rustbolt that gives a rustbolt hearthstone but it only has a few charges before you have to make more.
Edit: Forgot that there was actually a real hearthstone toy you can make as well but that acts as the replacement to your normal hearthstone. I assume it just gives you a mechagnome flavour to your hearth animation like what with the rest of the hearthstone toys do.
To be fair, we have to fly to it, across the city, which is a journey unto itself. (And has been a source of frustration for Horde players this entire expansion…)
You guys have to fly to Mechagon on a flight path? That certainly is odd.
I don’t have a high level Alliance character, how does Alliance get there anyway? if they don’t have a port or other means to get there then I would agree this would be a clear oversight by Blizzard. Horde has a short flight there but it’s not that annoying as other’s have stated. About the same effort to get to the Motherlode instance.
We just have to take a flight path from Boralus.
You can make these items that teleport you there.
Alliance still gets there faster simply due to Horde having to run across the city AFTER taking a flight path from one part of the city to another.
It’s fine as is.
You get the more convenient city where everything is in one spot, so until ours is upgraded to where everything is either in one spot, or a paku teleporter instead of paku flight, and trade chat extended to the docks, It’s fine.
We do? I been taking the dumb boat the entire time
Pretty sure the boat is the “teleport” they’ve been talking about.
Ooooo, I would rather have a flight path. That boat is so out of the way
It’s better than running half way across the city to get to the boat parked at the corner of the dock .
I would prefer to get a flight path any day
Someone hasn’t spent much time in Dazar’alor.
I have. And to get from the Great Seal to Mechagon does not take nearly as long as the flight from Boralus.
This is payback for Horde having to travel halfway across the map (obvious exaggeration) to get to our mission table or boat to Kul’Tiras. I spent literally thousands of gold for goblin gliders to speed up the trip several times daily. We have put up with that travel time for a solid year.
The flight path does suck. I keep stopping on my ally toon thinking, ok, where’s the boat to Rustbilt again? Oh, right, there isn’t one…sigh
Just to clarify for all the Alliance who haven’t leveled a horde character or know how Dazar’alor is set up: Their main hearth location with the bank and portals is a 37 second flight away from their mission table flight path, they can get an upgrade that lets them use the mission table in the main city, but not recruit troops, but back to the issue. When they take that 37 second fp, there’s still around a 30 second walk to the boat that they can then take to Mechagon, so that’s around 1 minute 20 seconds for the trip without flying yourself. Direct flight yourself will take you around 37 seconds.
All of these methods are faster than the flightpath from Boralus, which I believe takes ~4-5 minutes, but not by a huge amount in my opinion. If time is that important to you then you can set your hearthstone to Rustbolt manually, and then just use your guild teleportation cloaks to get back to SW and take the portal to Boralus (this is what I do currently until exalted).,
You can have a teleport if its one Flight Path and 3minute run away too for you.
I know that 35 second run from the flier is an outrage.
If I take the flier from Boralus to Mechagon it takes a few minutes. I say Boralus because the portals are there. On my Horde I have my hearth set to the Ooker Inn and run to the boat portal from there.
Once I have things ironed out for Mechagon, I’ll just make the hearth thingy on my characters.
