this is starting to bother me a little. when we say classic some people think private servers, others think 13 years ago, and some think the relaunch. People can we call classic relaunch classic2 it would help clear things up.
Or we can call it RLclassic. I don’t know, but we need a name for it.
When I say Vanilla, its 2004-2006.
When I say Classic, its 2019+

It used to be that Vanilla and Classic were interchangeable, but now Vanilla = 2004-2006 while Classic = 2019.
I’d wager that most of the people who think private servers, are private server players themselves.
Agreed. Vanilla and Classic have two distinct definitions. And Private servers are either just called that, or by the server name.

Classic is classic. Vanilla is vanilla. Pservers are pservers. I usually differentiate vanilla and pservers with saying retail vanilla for retail vanilla or private servers for private servers.
There most likely isn’t any Classic WoW private servers at this point. Year or two from now there will probably be those too.
It feels like we’re talking about CokeTM up in this thread.
They won’t make “Classic” Private Servers. They’ll simply refine and correct the Core Zero server builds to be more accurate. Until Blizzard shuts down the popular ones by lawsuit.
You underestimate these people. They made private servers out of MoP and probably every other expansion too, but surely they will enhance the vanilla pservers with this coming of lost knowledge that is Classic WoW.
That’s literally what I just said. Core Zero is the original Vanilla builds for private servers.

I was talking about this. I’m fairly sure someone is going to make a Classic WoW private server at some point since every other installment of WoW has found it’s way to become a private server.
