Why does he decide to betray the Horde? I genuinely don’t understand why it’s him that’s always getting way too cozy with the Alliance.

That is not why Baine did what he did.
It was because of what Sylvanas was doing to Derek. Trying to twist his mind and turn him into her puppet. Which makes her no better than the Lich King.
The Horde are not the Scourge. It’s free will or nothing.

I’m pretty sure she was going to return him in the form of a Mana bomb.
Sylvanas was always about free will for the undead though, now she’s starting to force undead to do her will. She’s becoming a lot more evil which is plainly obvious and the ‘betrayal’ by Baine isn’t surprising.

I’d argue torching thousands of innocents is much worse than enslaving one guy and Baine decided to sit there and do nothing when she did that. It makes no sense for him to suddenly rebel because of Jaina’s family issues when Sylvanas probably did something even worse that same afternoon.

Baine turned on Garrosh too, when he wanted to bomb Theramore.
He warned Jaina about it. Though, how she repaid that- was down right sickening but still.
Lol. So one would think the guy would learn from his past mistakes and not do it again!
Baine would sacrifice himself to save the Horde.
Sylvanas would sacrifice the Horde to save herself.
That’s the difference.

Stop twisting my words to make it seem like I am defending Jaina. I am defending Baine. Who you claimed acted completely different under Garrosh- when he didn’t.
None of this should be “new”, to a long time Horde player. It amazes me that you seem to not know his character at all.

Show me where I ever said he acted completely different with Garrosh? And idc if you’re defending Baine or Jaina. They’re both best friends that don’t have the Horde in their best interests.
You do know that Baine wasn’t there for the burning of Teldrassil, right? So he was basically in the dark.
Blizzard wasn’t going to allow a repeat of Theramore (Him warning them). So they kept him in the dark and I doubt he even knows now.
