Can someone simple expain new covs?

I started as kyrian sub, then swapped to venth. I picked venth because I felt like it was the best covenant to multi-spec in arena. Now after using flag for somewhile I just don’t enjoy how the damage is tied to multiple finishers. It requires a bit of uptime to on targets to make use and CC can really mess up flag. I was thinking about sepsis as I’ve been rekt a few times in RBGs by sepsis rogues. Nothing too crazy for a consideration but it deff seems nice to have a more fire and forget ability while all along gaining mad mobility(great for sin) and even seems more valuable to a sub build because now it takes a bit more mobility and skill to pull off good restealths.

All this being said, the PTR notes are really hard to navigate and are often vague descriptions that require PTR players to better explain what some of notes actually mean. So, what I’m really asking, is how are the new renown levels looking for covenants, what are the new legendaries looking like, what are the arena players looking at the hardest for covenants? I keep hearing necro is going to be the best for all specs due to the new lines along with CC immune fleshcraft; however from my short observation it seems like necrolord will be reserved for top percentile players (like how kyrian is for druid over convoke) No I’m not really looking for the convoke version of rogue, but I’m hoping everybody who responds to this gives a detailed explanation of each 4 instead of specifically focusing on 1.

covenant balance will shift depending on ptr changes, especially with the new cov specific legendaries. Stay put and dont change cov yet until we have everything, otherwise you risk gimping yourself. If you dont really care you’re free to pick which ever cov you enjoy

I think this is probably the best advice at the moment.

I will say with regard to sespis from a PvP perspective that it can be highly deceptive and I wouldn’t let being blown up in a few rated bgs influence your decision much. Yeah in the ideal setup where you pre-sepsis to get the bonus Naya mastery and then follow up with the shadowblades, cold blood, symbols, trinket, dance, vanish, shadowstrike, mfd, eviscerate chain you can do a lot of damage - particularly if you’ve taken nightstalker, dark shadow, shadow in the dark and are using the Rotten leggo.

Even right now that’s a total gimmick - after you try that you’re useless for a few minutes (or if the person survives you’re done). They already nerfed shadow in the dark and they’re going to remove cold blood so…

Generally sepsis is another boring generic dot that is among the absolutely worst covenant abilities available.
