Can someone please explain why so many NEED the slime cat in the first three weeks?

It will be harder to get later.

Three weeks from now, fewer groups will be doing it, and the groups doing it will require higher iLvls or even the achievement from having done it the first cycle.

Requirements will only get more difficult. This is objective fact. Players will be significantly more geared and will have their achievements. Pugs will be more difficult to get into, not less.

It’s a big club and we’re not in it.

Because fomo mechanics shouldn’t be out of reach in case you get a surprise hospital stay.
It’s bad in mobile games and it’s bad here.

Its none of your business…

Because the playerbase appears to have lost the concept of working towards a reward with anything except time.

Players want to work for it without the headache and frustration of dealing with pugging

They don’t have to. There exist other, better options. Just because you don’t like them, does not mean that they do t work better.

If people had access to those things, they’d already be utilizing them.

LOL what even is this thread?

Why would person do thing now instead of do thing later? Why person do thing??? Person not do thing, person not-do thing, this make person cool!!! :sunglasses:

OP sort of has a point. At least in regards to sticking the mount in LFR.

Putting anything in LFR completely trivializes the reward. We’re better off accepting it will never produce anything worthwhile, or expecting some sort of insane grind (FF14 relic weapon equivalent).

I don’t personally see any harm in making a normal+ raid only mount. FF14 does the same but it’s savage/extreme only. You want that Rathalos, you’re doing Extreme until you get it. And that’s what?.. 50+ runs at least?

(I did it but I don’t remember the numbers. It was a lot for the mount and the gear.)

I spoke with a GM regarding this and he told me it was an oversight because they initially weren’t even going to HAVE Fated LFR.

They only did that so lfr heroes wouldn’t complain their gear wasn’t higher.

Perhaps if you managed to find two brain cells to rub together you may find the context of the forum complaining about not being able to get this the first week and combine it with my thread (careful, you actually need to read it) alerting players that as we gear it’ll become easier you may just figure out what I’m saying and wanting to understand from those people.

Everyone else in the thread did, some just disagreed, but at least they comprehended. I think you can do if you really try

Do you have anything verifiable or linkable stating LFR was not supposed to have fated, other than “just trust me A GM told me candidly”?

I dunno I ran with people lacking experience and it was fine, I also assume like many there will be alt runs and the like as what tends to happen with a raid on farm. But maybe I haven’t been around long enough

They don’t just tell things casually or pass on rumors. I also saw someone say something simillar on the forums, but actual proof beyond a screenshot of the GM ticket?

Nope.

LOL yeah but that would require you trying to be polite and calm people down, rather than getting in here throwing shade at everyone who disagrees and acting like you’re better than everyone for not (checks notes) doing things now instead of later.

Careful, you might actually need to read your own replies to remember how you’ve behaved.

In absolutely no diss to you, but you have to see why there’s no credibility for that claim right?

You’ve hit the nail on the head. As it is, people are barely holding on.

Raiders have the attention span of a gnat nowadays and I’ve heard the sentiment that people aren’t interested in going through the Shadowlands’ raids because they’ve already done them.

I miss the old days of running people through Naxx/Ulduar to get them geared for ToC. It really built up comradery amongst guild members…

The slime cat was one of the options we, the players, voted for when we voted for the reward mount for being players. The tree mount ended up winning the contest but the slime cat mount was the runner up. Basically this was a mount we had voted on at the start of Shadowlands to get for free just for playing and Blizzard still made it and now made it something certain players couldn’t achieve without work.

Blizzard needs to offer more free mounts. Folks seem to like free stuff.
