Of course I go onto wowhead and nothing is really explained well. I know I have to do invasion points on Argus… So I go to argus but I am stuck on this ship and I can’t figure out a way to get off of it? I tried looking for quests but I cant find anything.
Also, what are invasion points? Are they just world quests or are they events that only come up at certain times?

You have to use the console at the front of the ship to teleport to the other zones. The invasion points are small portals marked on the map that are up at set intervals. There are greater and lesser ones, with greater ones having a distinct symbol.
There is nothing on the console at the front of the ship that lets me click on it which makes me think there is some sort of quest associated with it.

It is THE most confusing quest line/pre questing in the entire game.

You need to talk to Khadgar in Dalaran to start the chain ( i think )
If you’ve never been there before you might have to do the intro quests, I’m not sure. I haven’t had to do them in a long while.
The weapons can drop off any elite.
Invasion points should show up on the map.
Last time I checked I was unable to start the questline because the boat never showed up. This was a few days ago. However, if you get down to the surface you can earn rep from killing elites and doing emissary quests. Invasions give no rep.
The quest is “The Hand of Fate”. You must open the Broken Shore for it to pop. If you didn’t open your class hall and get an artifact weapon, you may need to do that first.
I think i need to change the timeline to do this quest… because I go to the dock and there isn’t anything there.
No, this is the problem I ran into the other day. It’s broken. The boat doesn’t show up on Horde either.
I think you need to complete the quest called “the call of duty” and it fixes it…

I don’t know that quest. I’ve done Legion many times and never heard of it. However, I just took the beacon on Krasus’s Landing on my character who has The Hand of Fate, ran up to the console, and was able to click it and go to the surface. You can grind rep by doing world quests without the questline. The weapons can drop off any elite.
Are you saying that the weapon can drop off any elite just in world quests on Argus? Or are they dropping off any elite in invasion points?
You have to start the legion questline, unlock the broken shore, start the nightborne quest, and then you should be able to get a quest fron kadghar.
I’ve already done legion on a different character and I can’t timewalk because I’m level 80 now.
I would check the tower khadgar and the other mages are.
There are a great many different weapon drops in Argus. It is personal loot, so the item will only drop for a player who can equip it. Any elite can drop one of them.
Is it soloable? I am level 80
According to the Blizzzard support article, you need to complete “The Hand of Fate” questline to be able to start up Argus.
