I was under the impression you could put in a work order without all the mats and someone else could fill in some of the mats and you pay them and hey presto there you go. But it does not work that way. It won’t let me post a work order unless I supply ALL the mats. What gives?
You need to provide all the mats for Public Crafting Orders.
You only need to provide Bind on Pickup reagents for Guild and Personal Crafting Orders. You can also specify a required quality for Guild and Personal Crafting Orders.
No one on our server uses it publicly so just make private requests to yourself from an alt if it’s part of a quest you’re doing them for.
Right now personal work orders are requiring ALL reagents to be provided by the orderer, not just BOP items.
this isn’t true I make personal orders from my alts all the time and I never put in mats - just did 3 this morning
Its for BoP items from crafters. System has been a failure.
A failure that has gotten me a nice weapon, neck, and crafting gear…So I’ll take it.
I think the system’s only failure is that they did not clearly explain how to use it and its intended purpose.
(Yes, I know I need to get a better neck made)
You know what’s stupid? Literally no where in-game does it explain to you that you need to use your table to access the ability to fulfill a work order but you need to visit a seperate npc to post one. It tells you how to post one but it doesn’t tell you anywhere the distinction between why you can do a post but not do a fulfillment order. It took me like 2 weeks into the expac before I worked it out.
Yeah, I had the same problem. They either should have made it more intuitive or provided a better tutorial.
Same, I’ve gotten some nice gear from it. I like it.
They should have just made the npcs you interact with to post a work order the same ones you use to fullfill them. Bam. Simple, intuitive, functional, logical, thematic and appropriate. Leave the tables for making BoP gear you can’t trade or some such.
Going a step further, we shouldn’t need new NPCs to create a work order. You should be able to go to the auction house and post them. The interface should also have a checkbox to include all non-BOP items in the order. Just buy them from the existing supply in the auction house and bill the creator of the crafting order.
