Can someone explain to me the logic behind the (Unholy) DK changes today?

10% ability damage lost from Unholy feels a bit excessive. Were we really dealing that much damage that we need a full tenth shaved off?

And can I take a second to complain about the broad removal of Necrotic Aura as a pvp talent and nothing being put in to replace the option? This is not what I was expecting when I was told to suffer well.

Yes both unholy and frost were overturned and needed the nerfs. They feel fine.

They are trying to balance around level 80 and hero talents.

There will be many, many buffs and nerfs in the coming weeks.

This 100%. I expect even after S1 is underway to see changes still.

#1 is that UH derives the bulk of its damage from pets.

take away its pets and its the most worthless spec.

so, the nerf is because UH doesnt have to press many keys at all, while letting their pets catapult them into high dps

Not in a mythic plus it doesnt

Not in PvP

I was slamming (winning against bad players with no healers) nerds too hard in pvp (random battlegrounds because Iā€™m a casul) my bad.

The nerfs are not felt unholy still feels great. Even with these nerfs unholy still feels great to play.

sure it does

minus defensives, the bulk of your damage is still from pets.

very similar to bm hunter.

try not summon your main pet or any of the pet cds and see how the class performs

the pet is part of your damage

Even with the hit i feel fine. You gotta understand the Hero Talents are being taken into Account.

With Riders alone

  • We get an Extra DoT
-We get an AoE Burst on SS
    -We get a Strength Buff
-We get Mobile Cleave via Darion

And with the Capstone talent we get to do all of that above every minute and a half guranteed ( when taking Abomination).

10% of 100 is still 90% its not that serious nor does it hurt as bad as folks think.

outside of raise ghoul its not.
