Can someone explain marital mixture?

  • Martial Mixture now increases the damage of Tiger Palm by 8% per stack (was 10%) but can stack up to 30 times (was 12).

Martial mixture was just changed to this. My question is, how is this even possible to stack when TP is the only consistent chi generator in the entire spec?

Unless I’m giga missing something, I’m not even sure how this ever stacks more than like 4-5 times. How else do you spend your energy/gain chi?

It appears that previously it would
Be consumed on your text tiger palm but now it is not.

It’s because of

Teachings of the Monastery - Tiger Palm causes your next blackout kick to strike another time stacking up to 4.

Shadowboxing Treads - Blackout Kick hits 2 additional targets for 70% damage (need to test if those secondary blackout kicks trigger martial mixture or not.)

Knowledge of the Broken Temple - Whirling Dragon Punch generates 4 stacks of Teaching of the monastery and it can now stack to 8

So if you have 4 stacks of TOTM and then use WDP you’ll have 8 stacks of TOTM, and then when you blackout kick it will be

1 + 8 = 9 x 3 targets = 27 blackout kicks for Martial Mixture

Thanks! I don’t realize the aoe portion of blackout kick added two additional stacks.

I don’t know for certain which is why I put the parenthesis, but it’s just about the only way I can see it being possible to getting close to the 30 stacks

Could use someone to confirm

All that work for BS damage. Pretty much classic developer failure. 240% increase on a pathetic damage ability, if you can even line it up. Meanwhile Ret, Ele and others can just shiit on your health bar with a few clicks. How do they even have jobs?

so it’s a bit awkward, but if you take knowledge of the broken temple you can stack teachings of the monastery up to 8 times. your black out kick can also cleave up to 3 total targets in certain scenarios. which is 24 black out kicks happening in 1 gcd. i’m not saying this is common or practical, but you can get 24 stacks at once which the previous 12 did not support. thank you for coming to my ted talk o/
