So now they changed the narrative of the lore, then why didn’t the Naruu(light being) rez Crusader Bridenbrad? When he passed from the plague?
Ill try to explain.
She is hot.
She has huuuge…tracks of land.
Anything else?
Because A) Presumably he wouldn’t want to be undead and due to plague of undeath true resurrection wasn’t possible in that case (Calia died via arrow to the heart courtesy of Sylvanas) and/or B) Blizzard hadn’t invented Light-based undead yet. You act like Blizzard retconning/changing the lore is a new occurrence.
Mardrigala is literally saying what I said. Lol.
Leave it to mages to have big brain discussions. lol.
Since she isn’t alive and is walking around, I’d say she was Undead. Think of her as the Light-raised version of a Death Knight.
In fact, that would be kind of cool, a Light raised DK…
Aren’t those called Paladins… lol.
Paladins dont be dead peoples. Though that may change if they allow Forsaken to be Paladins…
Well, technically they aren’t dead, they are soulless, unless you picked undead.
What? Paladins aren’t soulless. Are we…speaking English???
It is after all a discussion. I don’t think that is the case ,so the plague of undeath can’t bring resurrection? but a death due to a violent act can? Death is death to the living and doesn’t matter which.
Okay, I’ll be more specific for you.
DEATH KNIGHTS are not undead people. They sacrificed parts of their souls for their rune weapons for whatever reason, similar to Arthas. Arthas didn’t “Die” until Wotlk.
Paladins are the light Version of a DK with their own souls intact. That is the primary difference between the two.
Being undead seems to have little to no impact, as undead can wield the power of the light as Priests.
I didn’t write the lore, I’m only reiterating what I know.
I dont think Ive ever heard Paladins compared to Death Knights. I mean sure, a lot of Paladins were undoubtedly killed and raised as Death Knights, but they were no longer Paladins.
Playable Death Knights are Undead. If you think Wowpedia is a reasonable source, it says
" The playable death knights are the uniformly undead members of the Death Knights of Acherus…"
Likewise Wowhead when describing the class, talk about them “One by one they trickled into the land of the living…”. Hence, not alive, Undead.
So the Alliance had to have had treated her like a freak?
There’s a saying in our family date back for a long time. when the heart physical stops within a certain time you are dead, there is no way to come back. There is no judgement of how the person dies, wow is a little strange in it belief system.
I never trusted Calia. She just looks evil or maybe it’s just how she’s designed. She looks like she’s possessed
In truth, everyone is a freak in some way,we play warcraft
It is, and it isn’t. We are looking at small hair fractures within the lore that have questionable intentions with future ret cons. The Original Death knights had their souls ripped from them, and warlocks’ spirits were shoved into their bodies. This same line of thought continued into what Arthas became, except he transcended further by melding their spirits together, and eventually arthas killing the conscious part of Nerzhul that existed. He became something more.
So theoretically this is like possession x20 add in their capacity to raise people from the dead. Which again, the lore is muddied with controversial ideas, or even contradictory ones.
A Naaru told her to go to her death because it’s her destiny. Then that same Naaru raised her back to life with the Light.
She might not be possessed, but if Saa’ra the Naaru ever needed a place to stay, Calia is 100% letting her crash at Lordaeron.
