Can someone brief me on how mythic uldir LFG works?

So I joined an LFR with group A that killed only mother.
Can I join LFR with group B that is starting on taloc?
Or am I stuck with group A for the rest of the reset?
Can I do Mother again with group B? Knowing that I cannot get loot, but want to do it anyway?

I am not sure what you mean by mythic lfr, but you can only loot each boss once and you can use a seal on each boss once. They don’t have to be the same kill. There is no mandatory group assignments in lfr, so you can join group B once group A finishes and you will get placed on the first boss the second time around.

Edit: Or do you mean you joined a mythic run in Looking for Group? In that case I believe you are locked to the same players for the week.

Mythic lockouts are raid ID specific.

Wait… so which is it now?
Is it group specific?
Or does that not apply to LFR groups that do mythic?

Mythic raid lockouts apply to every type of “group” be it all raid members or pugs. Everyone in that group now shares the same lockout ID. You cannot join another group ID until reset.

Oh… then who you do your first mythic with in lfr is very important…

Yes, although you might want to use the term LFG not LFR to avoid confusion.

So if you kill Taloc with group A you can’t join group B to kill Mother basically.

Yes. You can’t join a group with a different raid lockout ID.

Which is dumb honestly it should be the same as with the other raids. Sucks for some guilds who don’t have a big enough roster to do them with out pugging. Most pugs want to join and be saved to what they want which is understandable I get it. But if it were the way of normal/heroic it would be easier to fill, at least that’s the issue I’ve seen from my experience.

I can see the merits of both. Although, this expansion has been just horrible on member retention for my group. We haven’t downed a mythic progression boss yet with more than 18 people. Last expansion we had Cutting Edge by this point, but sadly it’s not happening this tier.

I want to clarify you are saved to a raid ID not a specific group.

Once the world first race is over, and they open up mythic raids to cross realm servers - they should remove the lockout ID.

This is definitely the logic I was hoping to see. But sadly it’s not happening.

Mythic LFR LUL

My guild killed mythic taloc and mother last night and called it after fetid. The replacements have to accept the lockout, so they basically screwed themselves if they wanted a taloc/mother kill.
