Can shadow priests heal?

Can shadow priests still heal 5 man dungeons well while leveling?

Or are they trash and should be holy/disc in order to heal

that’s not how classic works. You can read talent trees and see for yourself how impactful on overall healing early talents would be

Should be no problem healing 5-mans. The later level dungeons like BRD and forward, you will need to be more on point with your heals, utilising stop-cast technique (e.g. start casting greater heal, and stop short of cast if not needed, then start casting right away again, repeat until heal is needed or not) Past 5-mans it will only be ermergency heals.

In Classic you play a class first and foremost. Raids however, will require the specilization of a build to be most effective.

You can heal as shadow and if you feel comfortable enough, you can try wanding low hp mobs to get spirit tap procs to help keep mana up.
