Some of us are currently debating what secondary stats we want on our legendaries. Since we are not sure, can anyone say if you can change them when you upgrade your legendary?
Just remember, if you stack too much of one secondary, haste, for example, you get less haste benefit the higher you go above a certain point, like above 30% or whatever. Also, when doing high keys Versatility gets more and more important to stack. Hence, this is an important consideration.
how does upgrades work anyway lol do igotta buy cloak ?
I dont think it’ll take that long to get to rank 4–like maybe a month or six weeks? But really, I have no idea.

Yeah, the question is why are people trying to sell that gear when you can’t even use it. Probably out of ignorance or just hoping to fleece others.
In an added point, is the jury still out on whether or not you can switch secondary stats when upgrading?
This is something I would like to know. I made mine based on current sims, but would definitely like to swap these stats rather than make a new leggo. When you look at the upgrade window on the runecarver, it does seem to be capable of this.
I would also like to know if you can reforge your secondary stats.
yeah, i dropped the wrong stats on my cloak and i really wouldnt want to throw away the soul ash i spent on it, so i’m really hoping there is or will be a system in place where, using missives, we could change out the secondary stats on our legendary. after all, it is a legendary crafted and upgradeable item, it wouldn’t be out of the question for it to have that level of flexibility…
Yeah… I was just thinking about this. Kinda silly that we get locked into the two stats we first used to craft the leggo, when - as time goes on, and we get more gear - we might need to swap stats. Forcing ppl to have to craft the leggo again seems a bit silly. At the very least, allow us to add new missives to change stats on leggo upgrade - or something. I dunno. I really don’t wanna have to remake a leggo just bc of the stats, which - seeing as we’re crafting them from scratch - should be interchangeable, somehow. Heck, make it a Stygia sink, or cost a minimal amount of Soul Ash to re-stat - I don’t care. Just make it possible.

I mean seriously blizzard, the meta seems to change once every two days so you might as well let us change stats on our legendaries since those are time gated anyway.

You can’t change stats when upgrading legendary at the moment. Hope Dev would change their mind and add something in the future. I mean let you re-add missives when upgrading shouldn’t be too hard to implement. Not asking the stats can be re-roll on demand, but at least when upgrading sounds reasonable.
meh, you cannot get a concrete answer from a blue poster or any of their so-called "gm"s when you put in a ticket regarding legendaries.
all they will tell you is if you didn’t open a ticket 5minutes into crafting a wrong one or with the wrong stats you are S.O.L. after a 3-4 day wait time. with legendaries gated behind raid bosses that are core to PvE or great vault you better hope the one you crafted is in a slot that can be socketed later with the perfect stats and pray it doesn’t get nerfed or some other random one you can equip gets buffed and u have to hope you have enough dust to remake or make a new one.
Step 1 find your 2 best stats…literally go to Icyveins or wowhead
Step 2, use those.

If you didn’t read the problem, why bother answering? Problem is if the stat weight shifted and would like to min-max. It’s quite reasonable to let players use missives to change stats during upgrading.
I think you can change them after all. When you upgrade any legendary, there are two slots for the inscription thingies, I forget what they are called. Albeit I did not try to change them with an upgrade, the slots were there.
When I upgraded my legendary I tried putting missives in those slots and they were greyed out to where you can’t put anything in the slots. I assumed you would be able to since the UI makes it seem like you can… Unless this changed as of Tuesday you can not put anything in those slots to change stats.
Hoping they change this, really sucks if you’re min-max stats change and you’re stuck with what you chose weeks ago.
I agree completely and I am in the same situation… Should my stat weights shift it should be allowed to change this at the runecarver.
Bump. To those saying “do your research” I say nay. I was excited to get a leggo and chose stats that are BiS for PVP but NOT PVE. I’ve realized that I need to have two different leggos for both… I’d love to get my PVP BiS stats replaced so I can pump harder in PVE. Please give us an option to update the stats/missives when we can rank up at least…
