I got a new phone, and the authenticator isn’t working the Battle.net app now. Following the instructions on the Blizzard support site, I had the authenticator removed. Now, I can’t get it back in the app. When I first go into the app, I get an “Oops, something went wrong” error at the bottom. When I go to the authenticator, it just spins at “Loading request…” if I try to enter the code manually, it gives me no code. If I try to look at pending requests, I get “Oops, something went wrong.” I have restarted, set my default browser to Chrome at the suggestion of a GM, and allowed all pop-ups and cookies. I cleared my history. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. The GM closed the ticket even though I still can’t use the authenticator (ticket number US94097875).
I have now lost 4 bag slots I really need and I assume there are now limitations on editing queue postings because I don’t have the authenticator on my account anymore. I can log in because I set up SMS, but I’d really like the authenticator back. It used to work so well! Please help!
Update: I was able to set up the authenticator on an old iPad, but now I can’t get into the Battle.net app on my phone at all. When I type in my credentials, it just reloads the login screen repeatedly. Since my phone is how I keep in touch with friends when I’m not in game (and my iPad doesn’t have a cell connection which means logging in when my wifi is sketchy will be a problem if I can’t use my phone), I still need this fixed.
This login reloading problem has happened before with other apps if I use a “safe” browser like Duck Duck Go, but I have tried both Chrome and Edge as the default browser on my phone and turned off ALL the security and privacy features, which usually does the trick for other apps with a login problem.
I forgot to mention that I’m using the Android app. Since the iOS app appears to work there must be some sort of problem with how the Android app is trying to login from my phone, a Samsung A54. I had no trouble with my old Samsung.
I still need help. Thanks!
