In terms of gear balancing between content, you might as well just remove Myth gear entirely instead. (Personally I’d rather they just did this and made Hero gear either more farmable from raiding or less farmable from keys with some parity between both, but that’s just me.)
Effectively repeat-farmable Myth gear would not be good for the gear relationship between raiding and m+.
I honestly feel like it wouldnt change much… it would advance a ce at end of patch ilv by a week or two.
It really is extend lockouts farm vaults after the first few weeks now.
A very easy solution would be to add a “your first dungeon of the week +12 or higher” can drop you Myth track gear. Add a counter so that every week of the season adds another dungeon that can drop Myth gear for you as a catchup mechanic.
It doesn’t guarantee you get a drop that week, but neither does Myth raiding, but provides a way to get extra pieces for your M+ team over time, and a potentially powerful catchup mechanic for people that start late.
It isn’t perfect, but can’t be exploited, and provides a reason later in the season to try pushing higher.

This is one of the better ideas I seen tbh.
You do realize the existence of easy mythic+ gear is the main driver in what makes lockout extensions good right?
Players get to keep gearing through some casual/easy mythic+ content and spend all raid night progging since they don’t really need to gear from the raid.
This only exacerbates the issue.
I agree but I see the vault as being the main cause. Now for heroic you might entirely be correct I don’t know that information.
I don’t really see it as a problem to have gear…
I can tell you point blank if we had access to myth track from +12s this season, in a raid tier like this where the good items are almost entirely from the latter bosses, we wouldn’t be reclearing at all. It’d be one and done all the way to the finish.
