Can Mage Tower Appearance Variations Still be Earned After Server+Faction change?

To those unaware, for some reason you can only earn the recolors of Legion’s Mage Tower appearances on the character you completed it with. i.e., if you make an alt of the same class it cannot progress the requirements to earn recolors.

I’ve every spec’s mage tower appearance on alliance and would like to transfer them horde instead of leveling every class again and wasting time on alliance toons I’m not going to really play, but would that make the Mage Tower recolors unobtainable?

First off, I’m jealous of your skins. Second, it shouldn’t matter. It’s the same character. It would be terrible if you spent money and lost content. I would contact Blizzard first.

Be interesting to know the answer to this one. I unlocked 36 / 36 skins playing alliance characters. I mean I would assume you keep the mage tower achievement / weapon (skin in the class hall unlock) even if you do faction change. I haven’t tried myself though.
