Yeah. Summon underpin, kill him, take his map and get the bounty at the end of the delve.

No, sorry didnt mean to confuse you. The map itself doesnt summon underpin. But the easiest way to get the map is to summon him and defeat him
The map doesn’t, just the item that lets you after you hit the checkpoint.

The fun thing about that is I now know that the underpin spawning is determined early in the delve.
Looted a wave scrambler, it was on CD (first delve of the week for that character), underpin spawned later in that delve.

However, only use the map in the highest delve tier you can complete or you are losing out on gilded crests.
If you have to summon underpin, do it in an 8, then run an 11 to use the map. If you’re already in an 11, then by all means.
Good to know about using the map in an underway Delve - But i thought Underpin was random appearance…Can you summon him? How?

i generally wait till right before the final boss before using it. one time i was in combat with the final boss when i used it… thnks blueberry

Yes I do it all the time. I use the bounty the moment it drops off Underpin.

You can summon underpin in a t1 btw. I stealthed to the save point and used it and just left the delve with the map. Caveat they could change this at some point it does feel a little cheap
You can use the map up until the boss dies. i’ve forgotten and poppet it when they had like 5% health and it’s good

I feel like I tried this and I didn’t get the extra treasure and the buff remained for my next delve, but maybe I was in a lower tier, since everyone here is saying it should work. Because of my experience, today I had a map drop from the midpoint boss that I spawned and I specifically didn’t activate it while there. I’ll have to try it again next time that happens!
