You’re cherry picking quotes, but they aren’t even saying anything we don’t know while using the internet. My posts were specifically to bring awareness that this technology is potentially being used here and we should be careful about what we’re reading. Interesting, because I have generated a couple very similar posts that I found in a thread with ChatGPT recently. While it wasn’t a carbon copy, the wording was pretty damning that the post was generated in ChatGPT.
You are fully aware people use bnet sockpuppets (were you not the poster who someone was bullying recently?) Besides personal experience, it’s not tinfoil hat to say bots are in forums or ai bots could be used in forums. It’s pretty common knowledge that is happening, no tinfoil hats needed.

Just like there is zero proof of people claiming that 90% of the posters here sre sockpuppets.
Just like there is zero proof of some Illuminati style gang of people mass flagging everyone in sight.
Theories are fine in that these things may be used. But pushing the agenda across multiple threads that this is a factually rampant problem is what I take issue with.
You claim these bots are trying to push agendas and yet you’re here, in nearly every thread you post in, pushing this agenda.
This is literally a thread about ChatGPT, so it would make sense that I’d be posting here. I have never said that there are a “bunch of bots” in the forums. I’ve said we need to be aware of new technology and how people use it. Just like I have generated posts before, so have others.

They are doing that as we talk about it ,but since the economy isn’t doing so well,there is a lag in the development now. It will come in time then the disaster will hit.
It’s too late they have already been on the forums and no doubt there is one or two here.
This doesn’t surprise me. Humans generally aren’t great at writing good C++ (so much of it in the wild is abominably bad) so it’s not surprising that a chatbot wouldn’t be great at it either.
It manages to write Swift and JavaScript decently well as long as I format the prompt in a way that it understands properly, but supervision is still required because it’ll pull a “confident nonsense” fairly frequently.

It would be wise to refrain. There used to be some addons for the game that would automatically reply to certain key phrases with preprogrammed responses, and Blizzard’s reaction to them was uh… not ideal, we’ll say.
No, you can’t use any automation on Blizzard’s servers. Not for your rotation, not for farming, not for chat.
I dont think it would work well in game because the process of reading and piping in and out the chat is going to be pretty difficult short of having the game in a window and using OCR for the reads which has an error rate, but maybe you can minimize error rates by changing the chat colors/background to be more contrasted.
Why not just experiment on the forums?
Create a new account, register on the forums, sign in via command line, wget the front page Posts, pull any Post url where the title is a question, pull the reply to OP link, feed bot question, let bot respond.

Like every single bot on Reddit, this is going to have a negative impact on humanity and you will be a piece of garbage human for turning it on.
No one wants a reddit bot’s input on how to spell a word or use proper grammar or to be told where the FAQ is or what the moderation policies are, and no one wants a ChatGPT bot that has nice natural language and a limitless capacity for incorrect and nonsensical answers.
There is a reason Google didn’t do ChatGPT first: because no one wants to be spammed with wrong answers.
But if you’re a garbage human and just want to learn at the expense of annoying everyone else, go for it.

I know this is old, but I’m bumping it.
It’s a good start. For almost a decade, I’ve been using kgpanels for my artwork (it works but I had to create an addon for it to work), but at the same time, I’d love for the addon to be updated for those of us that are LUA stupid: something like the clickable options that weakauras has.
I just like being able to make interesting UI’s using kgpanels.
Yeah, I can also use weakauras for a lot of things also, but it’s just not the same to me.
Chatgpt and I have been talking and I’m very slowly learning how to make an addon for what I want. Of course, I’m getting a lot of LUA errors because libstub seems to be broken.
But I think Chatgpt might be able to help me with that.
The main thing it doesn’t do is clean up the code very well, but it tells me when I get an A for the day when I get something right.
I’m trying to test some new things I discovered I can do with the new UI. I just wish Chatgpt had access to the Dragonflight API. I’d love to play the the new Edit Mode Panels artistically.
CGPT is good at giving you a starting point but you still gotto debug stuff cause it tends to generalize certain code

Yeah, the Libstub errors are driving me crazy. I know Mayron is still doing his UI, but I’m not sure how to use my own artwork in it (my art’s a bit different than what the other UI’s have.)
I basically want the kgpanels art options (resizing ect) with the way WA has it’s functionality mode.
I’ve gotten weird in my advanced age and have gotten obsessed with these particular addons.
