It’s funny cuz we used to have multiplayer chess and stuff, dunno how many of those are still a thing.
Only one way to find out.
it’s possible but I doubt it. people say this about literally every new development that becomes mainstream. I remember when crypto really started to kick off people were hyping it up so much and it just stagnated lol.
If I could use chatgpt to resolve veracode and blackduck scan issues, I gladly would.
I’ve been the one talking about it in relation to botting / trolling in the forums. I have no friends, so definitely not. I think it’s just that ChatGPT is fairly new and circulating in a lot of conversations on the impact of it in technology.
It is a wonderful idea IF we improve education. There is no point in people working menial jobs if they can be automated. Let’s focus on improving and enriching lives!
It’s an AI bot that can generate high level writing on almost any subject and it’s open source. You can read a sample on that thread of mine you didn’t bother finish reading.
Oh, so that’s what you were tin foiling over. lol
NLP is a decade+ older than crypto.
It’s become a thing because fairly recently they’ve started using Machine Learning based NLP like GPT-3 to effectively code (write computer programs) with minimal human involvement.
I’ve used ChatGPT recently to duplicate some of my programs from college to see how well it does. If you don’t ask it the right way, it makes a lot of assumptions. About 50/50 if they’re correct assumptions or not. People think this is a fault in the AI, but it’s really just the way the question was asked. After a bit of conversation, you can get a relatively decent code.
A lot of programmers are worried about their jobs, but honestly, you have to know what to ask for and how to identify any problems. Really, the next step forward in programming will be understanding how to utilize the AI to the fullest extent, and until they open it to the internet and allow it to learn, it will just be another tool to use.
That being said, I can’t wait till next semester to see how it really does with plain English prompts.
If you can’t read a whole write up, it’s probably unfair to call me “tin foiling”. But, that’s your choice.
Oh I read the tin foil you keep spreading about people actually being bots on this forum. I don’t need to read a novel of made up stuff to read your replies.
What you’re doing is skimming and diluting what I was saying, that’s obvious because you haven’t picked up on any of the nuance. I’m not sure why it benefits you to be so rude when you’re clearly a regular here too and seem troubled by hate threads as well, but to each their own.
Not really.
I’m a computer programmer, not a gold farmer.
Also, I like the game.
Did you claim that people are using AI bots to push agendas on this forum?
It would be if the powers that be weren’t greedy disgusting humans. Automation of production should lead to universal income so people can pursue their passions. But that’s not what will happen. Just total destitution and eventual genocide. That’s how governments work.
Why do you need me to repeat what I said when there is a whole thread just waiting for you to read it?
Because you’re claiming I’m the problem here when you’re the one pushing tin foil agendas.
This is you:
That’s called tin foil and spreading rumors. Not unlike the people claiming there’s mobs of people who do nothing but mass flag to push an agenda. And massive amounts of posters here are all sockpuppets.
These are all tin foil theories and most of it isn’t true.
I’m not defending hate threads. I’m simply pointing out the lack of proof on this supposed rampant botting to that you continually push.
I’m lost too. I don’t know what ChatGPT is even.
If you are reading/editing the memory of the client/exe, install 3rd party dll files, etc, then you’re in the realm of hacking. If you are automating responses based on strings, this is not bannable per se. (IMO; addons have access to SendChatMessage()
)
Basically, you’re trying to modify the client to allow you to read data and then write to the client, you’re literally breaking every section of the TOS with respect to hacking.
To emulate ChatGPT with respect to addon functionality, you’d need to rewrite ChatGPT as a Lua-sourced OpenAI project – which is just way beyond the scope of Lua.
In short, if you want to work on AI projects, apply to the company and work on it directly, otherwise you’ll be at risk for a ban for hacking/automation/botting.
