Can I use a 2-hand weapon as a Holy Paladin?

Title. I love the Ashbringer.

I’m super casual. No raiding or M+

You definitely can if you’re alright with losing the armor. The challenge is finding an int 2h.

Brackenhide drops a 2H Int weapon.

If i rolled a healer I would in certain scenario’s bt have a Mace/Sword etc and a Shield for others. And yes Ashbringeris awesome sucks we won’t see corrupted again.

You can but for some reason they decided to not let you use a dps finisher using a 2h mace… weirdly enough. As someone who likes using the ret pally mogs for holy… very dissapointing.

Blacksmiths can make a 2H Int Mace, if you’re willing to go the Work Order route.

If you pvp you can get a 447 wpvp epic 2h int sword (thanks evokers!) and you can talent into denounce and not need a shield to do damage

I do rated pvp with a 2h because shields look lame

You absolutely are not obligated to use a shield if mogging ashbringer will improve your enjoyment and experience

Seeing as holy pally had a two hand weapon in Legion yeah it’s something you can do, you’ll miss out on armor from the shield but if you can find the int two hander that works for holy paladins more power to you.

Blacksmith’s can make a current-season (item-level appropriate) 2H int weapon

but then you cant dps as holy

Why not, isn’t shield of the righteous the only thing that would require a shield?

It’s not just the armor. Holy Paladins don’t get Templar’s Verdict, so using a 2H means you can only use healing finishers, because SotR requires a shield.

Believe there is a 2h int sword from the time rift gear vendor as well.

This is indeed something you can do now!

It’s not advised in M+ because you lose Shield of the Righteous and a ton of Armor from your Shield (SotR is an important DPS button you should be pressing when it’s reasonably safe to do so), but in raid it’s fine because SotR only shines in heavy AoE.

That said, your options are… decidedly limited. I think Brackenhide gives an int 2H mace.

Better off just having it crafted since relying on that single dungeon to drop exactly that could turn out to be a pain.

It warms the heart to hear a daughter of the Sun proud to wield so righteous a weapon.

You can use a two-hander as Holy, just not that one.

At that point just get the 1H/Shield crafted.

I think the point was to be able to transmog their current weapon into ashbringer.
