Blizzard, I just don’t have as much free time as I would like to play games. My life is busy but I’d really like to play classic with my brother.
Can you let me pay to transfer some of my retail characters back to classic? I’ll strip them of all items, gear, and gold.
Or can you have paid boosts classic?
Or can you bring back the recruit a friend that came out in BC? Where you got 3x the exp, could summon each other, and every two levels they got you got to level up one of your guys 1 level? That was the best and a blast. And yes, I’ve known for a long time that you like to get rid of things that are fun, and getting to boost your character yourself level by level was a pretty awesome experience and I doubt you will ever put that “power” back into a player’s hands. I know how you like getting rid of things that are fun really stinks.
Of course not. Don’t be silly. They are different games. Can I transfer my character from Call of Duty to WoW? How about my wizard in D&D? My warlock from ESO?
Yes, you can actually do this! The only caveat is that they’ll also strip your character of their level as well as potentially their class, race, mounts, pets, name and many other things. And the best part is it’s free!
Just go to the character creation screen in Classic and copy over whatever traits which are shared with your retail character. This is of course limited to only race, class and name.
Did you read my entire post? Or do you have a mental handicap that prevents you from understanding it? Let me know if you need me to explain it again in a different way.
Your analogy is awful. Imagine, if you can, you had a character you stopped playing at vanilla because you changed classes and forgot about that character completely. Could this character be transferred back to vanilla?

Why even write this? Were you so offended by the post? Where did it hurt you? What bad memory did it bring back where someone transferred a character and you felt like you wasted a bunch of your time? Or something else?
I feel like you have other issues that aren’t related to this post. I believe you should seek help else where.
dont let them fool you, you can get what you are seeking via 3rd party sites.
just pick a class and a gear/progression level within your budget and youre nearly good to go!
while youre shopping, you might want to pick up a few thousand gold to help you stock up on much needed items. such as buff elixirs and protection potions. we dont have the tokens in classic, but dont let that stop you!
I don’t want to pay a 3rd party because I’m too worried about the risk to my account that I’ve had since vanilla. I could open a second account but then I’d have to rebuy the game which I do not want to do.
I really want to PVP and PVE with my brother at max level but I don’t have the free time that I had 15, 10, 5, even 2 years ago. Getting to max level is going to take me months at this rate.
Oh, I don’t buy gold either. In fact I’ve sold my gold for wow tokens so I get to play this game for free. I honestly don’t think I would be here today if I didn’t get to play for free because I just can’t support Blizzard unless I’m buying some physical product that I think is cool. Such as the lich king sweater. I did not like the game play and changes in BfA and same with Shadowlands. I didn’t play Warlords at all and didn’t play Cata that much either.
yeah the early game in classic is overrated and meaningless. what were they thinking when they designed this game with so many zones not intended for endgame…
and you’ll be fine. there is little to no risk involved. and you would be buying another account, as account to account transfers aren’t in this version of the game.

What does that have to do with being sixty though? You could start at level one, and even if you’re not level 60 for a year, you’d still be playing classic with your brother. Just level up and have fun, quit worrying so much about the end game.
