If I were to say equip daggers with a zero expertise set then attack the front of a boss to test and see how the black knight was killing me faster then heroic 25 anub, and if tanks died as a result, could I be banned? There’s no info on this for this boss and I’m really starting to get irritated about it and I noticed every time this happens, amazingly there’s a badly itemized dual wield class in the group, last time there were two of them without expertise cap.
I have no proof but I want to get proof and I hate ever dying in heroics. I literally had to ping pong with charge, intercept, and intervene and even time my shockwave with it to not die from the black knight with my 5.4k prot set that had about 67 percent mitigation and 6500 DMG taken per second last time on anub 25 heroic main tanking.
How could the black knight possibly kill me that fast without parry Hasting?
I would really like a GMs input on this so I don’t accidentally grief anyone trying to find evidence in the only way I know how
I had an undergeared priest heal me way easier and I wasn’t insta dying last time and even took a long time to start dying. Only difference could have been parry haste imo this was like 2 days ago.
I’ll have to further test for real evidence.
My guildy got mad I was dying so fast like the post topic I mean a different run
Don’t know why you would think doing something stupid or bad in the game would be a bannable offense. Blizzard is not the skill police. All you’re going to do is anger other players but you could plan the test with them in advance so they aren’t surprised about it.
People at Blizzard don’t even look at most of the forum.
I can confirm that Anub does not parry haste. Just went through a lot of one of our Anub kills where the tank had several parrys and Anub never swung faster than it’s typical 1.8 speed swing.
Found this as a resource of what bosses did and did not parry haste in raids
Here’s a random log I found on WCL for The Trial of the Champion https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/rGkF6qmWNYQXKMyz
At 9:38.017, the Black Knight did a melee attack
At 9:38.099, the Black Knight parried “Ironswipez” the druid.
At 9:39.506, the Black Knight did a melee attack.
If you look at all of his melee attacks, his fastest and most consistent weapon swing time is 1.5 seconds. There was a parry just after a weapon swing, yet he still waited the full 1.5 seconds before meleeing again.
No Parry Haste.
Another example:
10:34.696 - BK does a melee
10:35.681 - BK does a parry
10:36.207 - BK does a melee
Since we are using the 3.3.5 patch, most bosses do not have parry hasting and have been disabled.
Not all bosses have had Parry hasting disabled so the only thing would be is to look in combat logs. Almost all the raid bosses this doesnt happen outside of like 2 in ICC.
Also expertise doesnt matter at all when it comes to parry, people shouldnt be standing in front of the boss so I would say its at the fault of whoever is tanking. Parries can only happen from the front so position the boss accordingly so your poorly optimized rogues that arent expertise capped hit the boss from behind. Boss positioning is on the tank and maybe tell people that are attacking from the front to… not… do that… maybe.
