I have an FTP account that I want to make an active sub for just a couple of days. I’ll pay the full month no problem, but I don’t want it to be active that long. Yeah, people will think I’m crazy and ask “Why do you want to do that?”. But it’s complicated and if I wrote out the two paragraph explanation, it wouldn’t help you answer my question. So is there a way to just have a sub be active for a day or two?
Thanks.
yes, in China (and Korea?).
Sure, you can, just gotta buy a token I think

Pretty sure a token will be active for a whole month.

If you’re paying for a month, yeah, you can do that. Play for a couple of days after you sub, then turn off automatic payments (or just get a token or a game time card).
Yeah, you can just pay the sub and park your toon til the 30 days is up.
check out trial restrictions too. Trial account restrictions are ever changing because wow is a clusterf, but you might be able to get your goal done.
I appreciate the responses, but it doesn’t solve my problem. I don’t want to park the toon. I want it to go back to FTP after a couple of days and be able to play it that way. If I pay for a whole month, WoW will sunset it after 1 month even if I cancel future payments.
What you’re looking for is impossible but not sure why you would.
oh yea, the netease thing hahahahha
You cannot pay for access to the game for less than one month. That’s how it is, so if you wish to go from a trial account to a paid account, you will need to pay for one month. It isn’t reversible: once you activate your account on any form of subscription, the trial is finalised. You can’t just go back to being free to play.
If you wish to play a trial account after that, you’d have to start up a new account.
Knees, you are incorrect. Any account that the subscription runs out becomes FTP. However, if you have leveled any toons past 20 you cannot play them any more. One of my guildmates runs out money frequently and goes back and forth between paid and FTP. But he locks xp on a few toons so they won’t level past 20 and he can still play them when the money runs out.

Alivenkickin is right.
i log in to do dungeons/pvp grind when my sub is inactive on my level 20 or lower characters sometimes.
Not sure if they still do this but you can try contacting support.
Awhile ago I was given 3 days of game time when I forgot to transfer GM of my guild over to someone who was active.
So if you have a good reason for not paying the full month support might be able to help out.
Just wanted to point out that Customer Support will only do this for player(s) so many times (If approved) and then they will deny future requests. Also, It’s not guaranteed Customer Support will grant this sort of request.

I did not realise that. So you are saying that if you no longer have a subscription active, you can still log onto your account? I assumed you could access your account details if you wanted to renew a sub, I didnt know you could actually log on. (In my case I have never let my sub lapse - that I am aware of - so this situation never came up for me - I have kept it active using ingame gold even when I wasn’t logging on for extended periods.)
You can still play as a trial account on an account with higher level locked characters that was a previously active account. You just just have no access to any character over level 20, restrictions still apply, if guilded you cannot use the guild bank, but you can chat in guild. You cannot trade or use the mail.
When you start your account back up, you can level them past 20, and have access to your other higher level characters.
If I’m not mistaken, you can make a ticket, asking for a day or 2 of subscription, and a lot of times, GM’s will grant your account with a couple days of sub time. I’m not 100% sure they still do this, but I know they have done it many times in the past.
