Hey guys, I just wanted to ask if its still possible to multibox. I was planning on just multiboxing a second account, and not going extreme with it like having 5 characters, but only having a second toon follow me around and help me fight.
I understand that 3rd party software is now bannable, but isnt there any way to set up in game macros or something to make my second toon cast spells/abilities?
Is there any way to multibox properly without using any 3rd party software?
You would need 3rd party software to send same command to a second client. But if you’re playing just two characters, you could probably muscle memory some alt-tab action and make it work.
No. There’s not. 3rd party software, like the kind that is now against ToS, is required to do this.
You can still run multiple instances of WoW. You just need to control each character individually. It works ok if you have multiple monitors. I have 2 accounts and I gather herbs from Scarlet Monastery on my 2nd account while I do solo Dire Maul Tribute runs on my hunter on my main account. It increases my gold per hour by about ~35g. Boy does it take some focus though.

You can still multibox, but you cannot use software. You actually need multiple computers like they did in the old days. Then, you can either find hardware that will allow you to control 2+ computers with the same keyboard and mouse simultaneously, or rig something together that will allow you to control 2+ computers at the same time.
Lol I always am interested in what others find fun.
Properly for 2 isn’t terribly hard to setup. Get used to /macro commands for assisting, follow and also get clique add on to bind spells to mouseover.
You can just alt tab between or do whar I do and use a multimonitor setup with a client on each monitor.
Absolutely you can. Multiboxing is fully allowed and is a valuable play style in the game.
