WoW says it from a quest but what quest and can I still do it?
Its one of the weapon rewards from the Darkshore warfront, Horde side. If you get the Alliance version - Sentinel’s Branch - you’ll automatically get the Horde equivalent as well.
Upshot, since the weapons don’t have an elite skin, you can just grind the normal warfront to get it as the completion reward until you have it.
But isnt the warfront always Arathi basin now… or am I understanding it wrong? Cuz when I look at the table, Darkshore shows Alliance contribution and no Horde
They still swap around as far as I know, The Alliance just had Darkshore on my server so the Horde contribution might start in the next day or so
Yes, you can still get it. The rares and treasure chests in Darkshore have a chance to drop loot like this, as well as the two caches you can get from completing the warfront scenarios themselves (on normal and heroic).
And bugger me, I’d forgotten you could also farm the rares once per cycle
