I don’t have enough gold to learn both and I was wondering which would be better, skipping artisan riding and just picking up expert riding, or getting artisan and then expert riding.
you can’t learn artisan without expert riding.

You have to learn each previous riding skill before you can learn artisan.

I just learned Journeyman Riding and I also have expert as well. I can’t seem to find an expert trainer.

You should be able to train Expert (slow flight speed) when your character reaches level 30. You can toggle it so trainers will show you Unavailable skills to see if you meet the requirements yet. This also works with class and profession trainers in-game in the drop down menu when you talk to them. Good luck out there!
