DRIVE is optional, you can use a ground mount. Make sure to pick up the “caddy caller” from nanny talulah to enable shipping and handling on your ground mount
Because D.R.I.V.E. was built over the old “vehicle” system from wrath (it’s basically a faster version of the tanks you fight flame leviathan in, or the jousting at the argent tournament). It isn’t truly a mount. Dragon flying is true mounted dynamic movement and I think vastly superior to DRIVE
I just checked with Nanny - she isn’t offering any items at all. I’ve been unable to complete the intro quests for the vehicle. Ah - just had to ‘skip tutorial’… all sorted.
Same one that has prevented me from using vehicle systems since day 1 of them - I can’t use my left hand for any activity involving spatial awareness - so I’m controlling the thing with just my mouse.
Honestly if Blizzard implemented a way for players to set a waypoint which would auto drive to it, but let them control boosts along the way, I think this would help players in your situation
Indeed - right now I think all the vehicle stuff is off limits to me, tried the caddy caller but it doesn’t seem to let me complete the jobs, just tells me about them.
Hopefully I can get enough stuff done via the other content.
How do you walk forward and around the corner in game? Because drive literally does not require anything beyond that or different from it. I press w to go forward, and I always hold right click to move my camera, which actually turns the vehicle.
its worth at least experimenting with the different settings, with the engine you get from completing all drive races on bronze and the wheels from engi prof, it gets pretty bearable/smooth. i also recommend getting the comfortable rider’s barding off of the ah to stop getting dazed
So if you just use the default ability to move forward by holding down left and right click, while turning the way we both already do, you are golden. I drive with just my right hand, other than pressing w, but sometimes I don’t even do that and do it all with my right hand
The only thing you won’t be able to do easily is the racing world quest. Which I think you can complete without using a keyboard, but is also perfectly fine to skip.
You are actually asking for trouble if you try to use your keyboard to turn, unless you use your keyboard entirely, which I have no idea how that would work with the camera.
I would ignore 99pct of forum feedback on this one subject in particular. These guys have been complaining about that car all week. It’s like they feel like they’re being punished or graded for bumping into things. You can go as slow as you want with the car.
