Can I play with lower graphics settings like in the past?

BLZ51900101016 Issue
Used to play wow on this same pc(hpall in one 200) it has upgraded ram to 8gb (not much I know, but it used to play wow with less)
Is there any way to play the game with a lower graphics pc like previously, or could I get a refund if possible, due to inability to play.
My oversight on the graphics issue, but in all fairness I figured if I could play the old xpackson this pc previously, that I would at least still be able to?
Is there a known workaround this code?

I would assume so. Turning the graphic quality down does improve performance. Everything just looks less pretty.

I did try that, but it won’t even let me log in to the game, it just disconnects me after quoting that code sadly

I tried to look up that code, on google, with no results. Are you sure that is the right code?

You should post in tech support.

OHHH I wonder if that is the issue?

I’m in 64 bit Linux, on a computer build that is at least 8 years old and I still run it. So I can’t think why a person would otherwise not be able to.

Not sure then. I would post all of the pertinent information on the tech support forum. Their techs are pretty good at addressing problems promptly.

I don’t think they’d be able to provide a refund in the circumstances you’ve provided.

As your device is reaching 10 years with an integrated processor I think it may be time to have it upgraded - I’m sure most people would think it’s a ‘fair call’ that it wouldn’t support WoW as it is now.

Try updating the graphics driver. If that does not work, you need to get a new rig that has the min computer requirements, the lowest suggested ones are so you can play on lower settings, your computer has outlived its usefulness for WoW.

WoW is big on processor now also, and your rig falls FAR short in that department. Sorry :frowning:

They also got rid of the 32-bit client if your old computer is trying to run that.

I’m on my old Thinkpad laptop with Manjaro for the next couple of months. With all the drivers that I was supposed to install with Lutris, the Haswell chip wasn’t even technically supported. And WoW still runs good for me. So I suspect it’s maybe a 32 bit computer.

I had 16 GB of ram and a decent card. But mid legion they scraped support for older operating systems and I couldnt play at all until new getting a new computer. So maybe that’s your problem.

To paraphrase the above advice…

World of Warcraft used to run on a toaster, true. But these days you need at least a toaster oven, and most would recommend a modest air fryer.

I have a pretty ok computer, but wow has been lagging a bit. I lowered the settings a bit and it seems to run smoother.

This one hundred fold. With all the added eye candy over the years our requirements went up!

I can watch my fan speeds ramp up higher and higher the more people and their effects get drawn to the screen. This is the hardware working to draw all that pretty!

blizzard, tone down the candy. You have to edit the file manually to get the particle counts down to an acceptable level.

It is a problem when the spell effects completely cover the target circle. Just saying… don’t take a brain surgeon to figure out what is going on. This is more of a rant about blizzard lol in case you couldn’t tell.

Sorry for the hijack

Can you play classic?

Classic isn’t Vanilla. It’s the current engine modified to a Vanilla experience. So no, they won’t be able to run tht either.

OP, the system requirements are always posted when you buy a game. Doubtful they’ll give you a refund when you had those to reference.
