I am new to WoW (I played Shadowlands for 5 months with my friend, but now I came back alone for this expansion). I want to get into raiding but my ping is always 130-150, can I still do it? And taking the ping into consideration, what class should I prefer/avoid? Thanks
Yes. Just give yourself a bit more leeway on movement.
I would suggest playing Ranged as swirlies usually give you ample time to react. Frontal cones from melee enemies could be more frustrating due to their frequency.
FWIW, you can very easily play at Mythic CE levels with 150ms ping. React appropriately and know which way you’re going to move in case something targets you.
150ms ping isnt world ending, but 200+ would be. Skills will hang for a millisecond before engaging, the dmg swirlies will to dmg a split second before you see the dmg so moving is going to be uber important.
But it also depends on the level of raiding you are looking at. If you are hopping into a normal/LFR raid, or in a OCE group, you’ll be fine. Heroic raids might be a bit less forgiving with that high ping though. Try a pug group and find out?
